Love Tim opening up about his heartbreaking experiences with his mom. I have gone through similar and have been avoiding a rewatching of this movie for exactly that reason.
I have been WAITING for this! I honestly thought that's what Tim was going to say the next episodes were going to be when he did the long pause. Then when he said Twisters I got so bummed haha. With Romulus coming out next week this would have been the perfect opportunity!
As an audio listener; yes Greg I was like “Damn man” when you burst out laughing after Tim’s emotional moment. I jumped right to the video for context 😂
We want Alien franchise In Review!!!! You won't be able to get to them all before Romulus, but might as well just throw it in the pot and watch them all even after Romulus releases!
In the cinema, I remember the reaction to the moment Andy mentions well, you could feel the air sucked out of the room as people gasped and were shocked by the realisation of what was going on. It was great.
I'm glad yall went back and did Logan especially since it's not ranked already. I agree with the position in the MCU ranking. I know it won't happen, but Jackie Chan in Review would be awesome! Rumble in the Bronx, First strike... so many awesome movies!
Just wanted to clarify about the West Chester incident, after his seizure in Vegas the radio says that people within whatever area of space experienced a period of time of paralysis, one that echoed the experience at West Chester that lead to the death of 7 mutants including some members of the Xmen, then Logan turns the radio off before we can hear anything else.
Id love to see an Xmen mainline series in review. X2, First Class, and Days of Future Past are all top tier comic book movies Edit: I have become aware of the in reviews they did for the Xmen series and them saying DOFP would be towards the bottom of the MCU movies.... can't believe that shit
I know this idea is ridiculous and I doubt we’d ever get it but I’d love a mystery science theatre (or honestly like a TH-cam reaction) type thing with Deadpool and Wolverine from that movie reacting to the whole movie of Logan. Just having that version of Wolverine see the sacrifice and the love that they shared in the end of this and bringing that to the MCU with Dafne keen again would be amazing and I wish we’d gotten more of that relationship in deadpool and Wolverine somehow.
I paused this episode to go back and rewatch it for the first time in I’d guess 4 years. I realised why it’d been so long when watching Charles death, when Logan eventually dies and when Laura called him daddy, I was not ready to be emotionally destroyed like that again and I noticed some stuff I’d either forgotten or had repressed because of said emotional devastation or just didn’t notice until this viewing. Just the small things about it that break my heart all over again, this is definitely still one of the best movies ever not just the best one based on comics. I will say one thing I appreciated more this time, I didn’t care at all about the things I previously considered flaws about this movie (the villains being more lacking and X24 doing what was at one point in time a massive trope of the villains just being a clone of the main character, I truly don’t think that was an issue anymore) my own complaint is some of the dialogue moments felt like James Mangold patting himself on the back for smart writing with lore stuff but other than that this movie truly is close to flawless imo.
Also I couldn’t list of all the things about this movie that are perfect because that’s not fun for me to do or people to read but for sure a shout-out to all the performances in this movie. Especially to Patrick Stewart and Dafne Keen whose performances I still love and I hope we do get more of her in an all new Wolverine adaptation of some kind, just hope if they adapt it they do a better job than the Hawkeye TV series did to that run as it deserved more.
For me Logan is my 2nd favourite superhero film behind Nolan’s TDK. I like Endgame but I have several issues with the movie, but it’s all subjective in the end
@@CrossOutBryce sure but let’s now compare Deadpool 3 to the first two Deadpool movies…both of which are much better movies and are still able to have serious moments and make the Deadpool character a bit more grounded and believable instead of the joke machine he is in the third movie. Yes Deadpool 3 tries to have serious moments but they don’t hit at all, they feel extremely jarring and forced.
@@CoNiCuZnNah first two Deadpool movies have heart and are unique but are just okay, cheap and completely carried by Reynolds and how faithful they are to the spirit of the character. 3 while simple, is much better written and executed with an emotional core, better character development, better chemistry, better performances.. setup and payoff. It is not perfect but it's great entertainment and almost universally better. No one was really bending the knee for the Deadpool movies.
I love that you guys are doing these (meaning this and the Deadpools) but honestly, I don't see the need to rank them in the MCU. As a casual discussion topic sure it's fine, but officially adding them to the rank is weird, because, like, does that mean you're going to rewatch *all* the FoX-men movies and officially add them to the list? Or just the ones you wanna watch? In which case, why add any of them? Just kinda makes the list more of a mess than it already is XD
This was the first time i rewatched the movie since its release. i love this movie so much. but i struggle to watch the first half of it because of my history being the primary care giver of my grandma with dementia. Logan’s anger, his frustration, but ultimately his love for Charles while he is going through this is so fucking relatable. i lived through these conversations and they are fucking awful. Hugh Jackman is in his bag with this one
So after Deadpool 3, this version of Logan is now the same one from Days of Future Past's ending right? How do they reconcile the whole "no mutants born in 25 years" thing?
Again, saying all of this with the aknowledgement we all love your content and there’s almost never a bad show, but it feels like the in reviews outside of established franchises we’ve been doing are more “just what we want”, and not the audiences requests. I think I speak for many when I say that we don’t need 3 weeks in a row for twister in review, especially if it takes the place of things like the alien franchise ahead of Romulus, or even dumb fun one offs like borderlands. In review being the only weekly show now means that we miss out on your guys thoughts on stuff we’re all more interested in, especially when new stuff has to make space for the month of rewatches you did for Deadpool (missing things like inside out 2). I think the rewatches should be a separate sceeencast you do during a games cast time slot, and then save the proper Friday in review for something new. It felt very forced. Overall though, top tier film.
Those constantly asking about Aliens or Inside Out 2 have to realize they can't just do what's popular. They have to do what they themselves are interested in and have time for too. You wouldn't want an Aliens in Review if the crew wasn't into it or were too tired to put on a good show.
