I know this sounds a little weird or ridiculous, but my main concern, as I am coming to understand these things and pursue the Lord in this manner, is that I don't have years, as you said it took for you, to step into these things. Not because I'm old, I'm only 53, but because the world is going to hell in a handbasket and it certainly wouldn't be a very conducive context or environment if, for example, our nation's infrastructure and/or economy has collapsed. Am I the only one who thinks like this? I've already been pursuing the Lord on this level for about six to eight months, and feel like I've gotten nowhere, but I do believe with all my heart that it will happen as I continue to persist and pursue. I just pray I still have time left!
You have loads of time left 🙂 And the fact that you are pursuing the Lord shows that you are on the right path. The more we spend time with Him and focus on relationship with Him the more the supernatural will start to open. Our main focus should be Jesus and all the rest of the supernatural things will follow. You can also ask God to open the spiritual realm up more for you.
In Matthew 6:33 (ESV) it says: “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
Hebrews 4:16 “So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.”

@@mariaanmare Yes, thank you, my focus is on intimacy with the Lord and not the experiences or encounters themselves. And I constantly ask him to open and activate my spiritual senses. I know it'll happen in time because it's his will that I walk in this more than I could ever desire it, and the desire I have comes from him anyway! So from his standpoint, it's already done and I'm already there, amen! I just need to be patient and continue to dig the spiritual wells, knowing that in due time I shall reap! Something else I'm also pressing in for is the manifestation of the healing he's already provided for me, as I've been dealing with bladder cancer. I had a tumor removed surgically a year ago, but it has come back, but the Lord is clearly told me he is training my hands for war and to pursue him alone for my healing (no doctors or going the natural route this time, except for changing my diet, which needed to happen anyway). He also told me, not just in his word, but a fresh Rhema word that I have the total victory over the enemy and that he is going to redeem the time I've lost in my life. So I know this cancer is not going to take my life out and that I have authority over it by my union with him!

@@mariaanmare thank you so much! Not to be gross, but I saw blood in my urine pretty badly a week ago and I thought for sure it had already been eradicated by the Lord's blood. But I will continue to stand on the word. Don't know if I already mentioned this but I feel convinced he's told me not to go to a doctor, but only to rely on him. Of course that goes against the carnal mind and reasoning, but until he's released me, I'll turn to no one but him. His blood alone is all I need. And he is the same yesterday today and forever
