Helpful hint about getting rid of mosquitoes. Use your fresh water hose with a hose-in sprayer. In the sprayer put a little (1/4 to 1/2 cup) of LEMON scented dishwashing soap. It has to be LEMON! And spray everything down outside..the bushes, grass, ground, camper tables etc. Flying insects (including mosquitoes) don’t like the lemon scent. So not only will you have a clean and great smelling site but no bugs as well. I use this on my yard at home and it works fantastic! Oh this hint was learned from a guy named Jerry Baker-Americans Master Gardener. Jerry has great gardening knowledge and used to have a show on PBS. Check him out sometime…Cheers
You have never talked bad about a rv park so I know this park really got under your skin. But you really got me with the toy hauler. When you got the new truck I said I see a 5th wheel toy hauler in the future. Lol Be safe an safe travels.

This is the best video I've seen in months!! Professional and to the point! We had a wonderful 5 days at Champions Run for the Bandit Bash! We had an inspection report to complete the day of check out. I told Pierre I would run to the office and request a late check out. BTW, this is the Tuesday after the Bash, and there were 15 campers in the resort. Stephanie McGill was finishing her rude comments to the lady in front of me. The Lady simply àsked if she would sign for her UPS package being delivered. Stephanie, the front desk lady, rudly told her NO, absolutely not. AS if she were so busy with 400 campers checking in😂after Stephanie reamed this lady a new arse, it was my turn. I asked nicely if we could have a little extra time and check out late. She acted like it was the end of the world and angrily said "til 1:00" and proceeded to type on the computer....I asked, "Are you charging me?" Stephanie replied with a snotty attitude, "yes I am, I don't make the rules, I follow them"....long story short, we will never recommend them or stay there again! Awesome video!!
I think people misunderstand that it’s a blessing to get repeat customers, when you own a business. Good customer service is essential to maintaining a business. Word to mouth can help grow your business or help close your business. I feel very upset with the treatment you received.
I got ripped off the same way by a hotel, i paid with a a credit card so i disputed the charge and told them i never stayed there. I got my money back and the hotel had to deal with the dispute 🤷🏽♂️. Now i pay every reservation with a credit card just in case it happens again.
I feel your pain with the new management. Their was a park we all went to during Mothers Day weekend. It went corporate. It used to have the family feeling not any more. That is not right especially that you are bring in revenue during their off season. Missing those mom and pap places.
You had me going with the toy hauler😂😂! Now for the RV Parks who do not understand the concept of you hosting an event at their park helps their bottom line, the Heck with them! Thats revenue they are going to miss out on future sales! They should have honored the orginal contract.
I was at a rally there that started the weekend after you guys left…and apparently something happened with that one as well as they are looking for another location to hold the one next year. It is a shame because without the rally there the park was almost empty. I ever considered coming back for a week at a time as a “staycation” as the wifi was perfect for me to work..but not know.
I can't wait to finish watching your video, but my hubby Miguel has the remote and he keeps pausing to make "important" calls, like to pay the bills! I need to watch y'all on my big screen, not on my laptop. Love your bantering. You remind me of another loving couple I know ;-)

Parks that we don't like we usually don't vlog about those parks. But I felt that everyone needed to know about Champions Run how it set up to take people money.
Unfortunately, I've been dealing with a KOA in Michigan that's trying to keep my deposits for two events that I canceled at least 30 days before the event. Stay tuned.
So like state parks will not reserve a site that’s been already allocated to another even if the RVer doesn’t show up. It’s called ‘double-dipping’. So if you’ve cancelled by the rules and do not get your deposit back, rest assured they will rent out your site and collect another deposit from a new RVer for that site. That IS double-dipping!!!!

I'm glad you were honest about your experience and sometimes we need to address these concerns to warn other RVers of what to expect if they decide to stay at any of the Sunlight RV resorts. Thank you for the comment. We felt that people needed to know before spending their money with this park, that there's risk behind it. After they have your money, they will keep a portion of it if you cancel.
He got us real good with the toy hauler lol. It really has to be bad for you guys to post about the park . You guys never say anything bad about anybody. I don't understand the marketing business model for them. Like you're bringing them thousands of dollars not including the money that could continue to come. Team toy hauler!

Great video guys! It is astounding that Champions Run/Sunlight Resorts would not take the time to make things right particularly with your platform (makes you wonder how they treat those with out a voice; probably not good). They will lose much more than the $200 that they ripped you off for and on top of that, you brought them a ton of business during a slower period. What a horrible business! We were going back to the area in the next few weeks because we did not get a chance to visit Silver Springs and the glass bottom boats and had considered staying at Champions, not now (we are trying to book at Silver Springs State Park)! And since you have shared your experiences, others are coming forward with their stories also. Even when we were there, I did mention to my wife that other than those attending the Bash, the park was pretty empty. Now we have an idea why!
Sunlight is new, they own two parks in Florida. They are not aware that people find out about parks like theirs through rv channels. Yes it's horrible business. We wasn't going to say anything about the park until they kept our money. Silver springs has a state park campground which allows you to use grills and have fires.

We’ve been charged before for canceling, but it was last minute so i understood that (day before cancelling). Alexa got ahold of some wine and wasn’t trying to turn down! I really love you guys and I really appreciate you guys sharing different information about different RV spots. I love when you name places to go and give General information. Because I am new at rving and I have not been out much yet and I don't have a trailer or a big RV camper I just have a van that I converted into a RV camper and it is a small van and it's not a high top van. But I've stayed at three campsites so far throughout the summer and I was the smallest vehicle in each and every one of those campsites. But they were family friendly campsites and I really did enjoy them. And I hope to one day be able to buy a bigger RV don't think I want to hook up because I don't think I'll be able to do all that that's a lot of work. But in your informing us could you please give us some information on where people can go that just have like a van a regular old van that they have converted into a camper van. If you have the original contract you can have your credit card company reverse the charges. You could also sue them for breach of contract. Although, it would cost you more than the 200.00 if you sued.

I'm sorry about your experience, but thank you for being honest and sharing. My husband and I recently purchased our RV, and we need these other vloggers to be frank about their experience at these parks and resorts. As we know, everyone will not be treated the same. So, please continue to give an honest opinion of your experience. We plan to venture out of our area and visit some of the RV sites in Florida. I know we will run into negative situations from time to time, but I'd like to keep those experiences to a minimum and enjoy our RV Life!

If you used a credit card for your deposit, you can dispute the $200 with your credit card. We had a similar experience where I booked 2 campsites at an rv resort…I always read the policies especially the cancellation policy before booking, but the resort was sold to new owners who increased the price. They tried to charge us the new price. I said that is not what I agreed to when booking. Thank goodness I usually take screenshots when I make reservations, because a lot of these campgrounds that have sold to big corporations send you a link in your confirmation instead of an invoice. When you click the link, the invoice that you see could have been changed/“updated” as in my case mentioned above. Since I had a screenshot of the original invoice, they honored the price.
We still have a copy of the original contract we signed as well. They still.didnr want to honor it. I'm glad that you were able to get your money back.
That's my go-to. I looked them up and only 2 negative reviews in recent months. Big corps have marketing people monitoring Google reviews. They'll definitely notice when a large group they screwed comes back and trashes their reviews.

You fixed up that spot really nice. Corporate entities are buying RV parks as well as Mobile home parks where a lot of poor people live and raising the rent so high they can't pay. They loose their mobile homes because they don't have the means to move them and they are out on the streets. Corporate greed. Great video!
Never left the keys in the door. After a couple of months we changed to keyless locks. You are wrong for that toy hauler. We love our fusion impact 415 hauler
@@AdventureBandits1 ok great we're in our toy hauler heading to Galveston for the long star rally. I love it. It took 3 years to find the right one that would work for us and our motorcycles. After we found 3 t and made our decision on 1 put our deposit down. Alliance came out with a better 1.
While we are glampers, we like C.O.E. campgrounds the best. Not all of them, and sometimes you're camping with the Munsters. But the sites are usually spacious, and somewhat shaded. Sadly, you can't stay more than 2 weeks at a time. So campgrounds with dynamic pricing is a hard no for us. Some places feel the need to rip everbody off! BTW, stay south as long as you can. We woke up to 3 inches this morning in Akron. O-H-__ __!
We usually stay away from parks that do dynamic pricing as well. Unfortunately we have to fly back to Ohio next week for a doctor appointment. Hope that it warms up alittle.
Try the park at the World Equestrian Center. lMaybe they will deal with you. ) I am so sorry about this. You had bragged about them last year and I was going to tell people about them. We had a problem with Spacious Skies Belle Ridge in Monterey Tennessee. They were independently owned but bought up by a big corporation. Had to cancel three weeks reservation, three months in advance and they kept 10%. So will never go there again.
We were just at champions run with a group and had a great experience. Was the cancellation policy outlined in the contract you had with them? It plainly says on their website that they withhold $200 if you cancel 15 or more days before your arrival. We were able to extend our stay at the group rate with no problem. Hate this happened to you guys!
Glad you had a good time, our 1st visit was a nice one. However, our experience with some was not so plesent we brought in thousands of dollars during a dead time of the year. The front person was speaking to others harshly to where they left. Our guest are police officers, buisness owners and other up standing law abbiding rvers. The contract was changed by new managment and we were not informed of the new contract till we advised 2 months prior we needed to cxl. We would have never put up a fuss if that would have been the original agreement. We are experienced campers. Again our experience and the experience of our guest was treated badly so its a hard pass on any returns by us and others that was treated badly by those in charge. Thank goodness we kept our original contract as well because that saved us from being taken advantage of.

@@AdventureBandits1I was curious about that because we were told after the fact when we accidentally first bought a Jayco Eagle 334RLOK (travel trailer) that a motorcycle lift could be installed on it and we bought it (Jayco) and found out from more of an expert that travel trailers are not designed to tow and that is was dangerous. That was a costly mistake for us to get this bad information. And of course, now we have the Grand Design Momentum 395ms-r. Will we see you at the Tampa show?

No, they do not get to keep your $200. You can't be required to comply with contract terms that did not exist when you signed the original agreement. I would send them a letter and if they refuse to give you the money back, please sue them in small claims court.
I have never heard you all saying negative things. I trust you. There are companies that I would never do business with again. Business is a two way street. Businesses get money, and customers get value. Without this, the relationship breaks down.
Ocala Florida right? That won't be the last horrible experience dealing with that area. They unfortunately let you know they don't need or want your money. That's the sad truth. Be careful in Florida.

They should be made to honor the contract. You signed changes or no changes that's sign contract. They can't change it down the road unless you agree and sign it. So I would fight for that $200. It's the principle.. Moral of the story know your parks. People stay away from corporate. They're not there for you you're there for them$$$$$😢

It's a beware for all and it's sad because as an RV er we have no rights. To change your process after the fact is not good business.

I really love you guys and I really appreciate you guys sharing different information about different RV spots. I love when you name places to go and give General information. Because I am new at rving and I have not been out much yet and I don't have a trailer or a big RV camper I just have a van that I converted into a RV camper and it is a small van and it's not a high top van. But I've stayed at three campsites so far throughout the summer and I was the smallest vehicle in each and every one of those campsites. But they were family friendly campsites and I really did enjoy them. And I hope to one day be able to buy a bigger RV don't think I want to hook up because I don't think I'll be able to do all that that's a lot of work. But in your informing us could you please give us some information on where people can go that just have like a van a regular old van that they have converted into a camper van. If you have the original contract you can have your credit card company reverse the charges. You could also sue them for breach of contract. Although, it would cost you more than the 200.00 if you sued.

I wouldn't advise you to stay there. This park does not allow campfires or you to use charcoal grills.

I'm sorry about your experience, but thank you for being honest and sharing. My husband and I recently purchased our RV, and we need these other vloggers to be frank about their experience at these parks and resorts. As we know, everyone will not be treated the same. So, please continue to give an honest opinion of your experience. We plan to venture out of our area and visit some of the RV sites in Florida. I know we will run into negative situations from time to time, but I'd like to keep those experiences to a minimum and enjoy our RV Life!

If you used a credit card for your deposit, you can dispute the $200 with your credit card.
We had a similar experience where I booked 2 campsites at an rv resort…I always read the policies especially the cancellation policy before booking, but the resort was sold to new owners who increased the price. They tried to charge us the new price. I said that is not what I agreed to when booking. Thank goodness I usually take screenshots when I make reservations, because a lot of these campgrounds that have sold to big corporations send you a link in your confirmation instead of an invoice. When you click the link, the invoice that you see could have been changed/“updated” as in my case mentioned above. Since I had a screenshot of the original invoice, they honored the price.
We still have a copy of the original contract we signed as well. They still.didnr want to honor it. I'm glad that you were able to get your money back.

That's my go-to. I looked them up and only 2 negative reviews in recent months. Big corps have marketing people monitoring Google reviews. They'll definitely notice when a large group they screwed comes back and trashes their reviews.

You fixed up that spot really nice. Corporate entities are buying RV parks as well as Mobile home parks where a lot of poor people live and raising the rent so high they can't pay. They loose their mobile homes because they don't have the means to move them and they are out on the streets. Corporate greed. Great video!

@@AdventureBandits1 ok great we're in our toy hauler heading to Galveston for the long star rally. I love it. It took 3 years to find the right one that would work for us and our motorcycles. After we found 3 t and made our decision on 1 put our deposit down. Alliance came out with a better 1.

Nice, I can use one of those myself.
While we are glampers, we like C.O.E. campgrounds the best. Not all of them, and sometimes you're camping with the Munsters. But the sites are usually spacious, and somewhat shaded. Sadly, you can't stay more than 2 weeks at a time. So campgrounds with dynamic pricing is a hard no for us. Some places feel the need to rip everbody off! BTW, stay south as long as you can. We woke up to 3 inches this morning in Akron. O-H-__ __!
We usually stay away from parks that do dynamic pricing as well. Unfortunately we have to fly back to Ohio next week for a doctor appointment. Hope that it warms up alittle.
Try the park at the World Equestrian Center. lMaybe they will deal with you. ) I am so sorry about this. You had bragged about them last year and I was going to tell people about them. We had a problem with Spacious Skies Belle Ridge in Monterey Tennessee. They were independently owned but bought up by a big corporation. Had to cancel three weeks reservation, three months in advance and they kept 10%. So will never go there again.
Smh.. You should not have been charged canceling months in advance.
We were just at champions run with a group and had a great experience. Was the cancellation policy outlined in the contract you had with them? It plainly says on their website that they withhold $200 if you cancel 15 or more days before your arrival. We were able to extend our stay at the group rate with no problem. Hate this happened to you guys!
Glad you had a good time, our 1st visit was a nice one. However, our experience with some was not so plesent we brought in thousands of dollars during a dead time of the year. The front person was speaking to others harshly to where they left. Our guest are police officers, buisness owners and other up standing law abbiding rvers. The contract was changed by new managment and we were not informed of the new contract till we advised 2 months prior we needed to cxl. We would have never put up a fuss if that would have been the original agreement. We are experienced campers. Again our experience and the experience of our guest was treated badly so its a hard pass on any returns by us and others that was treated badly by those in charge. Thank goodness we kept our original contract as well because that saved us from being taken advantage of.

@@AdventureBandits1I was curious about that because we were told after the fact when we accidentally first bought a Jayco Eagle 334RLOK (travel trailer) that a motorcycle lift could be installed on it and we bought it (Jayco) and found out from more of an expert that travel trailers are not designed to tow and that is was dangerous. That was a costly mistake for us to get this bad information. And of course, now we have the Grand Design Momentum 395ms-r. Will we see you at the Tampa show?

No, they do not get to keep your $200. You can't be required to comply with contract terms that did not exist when you signed the original agreement. I would send them a letter and if they refuse to give you the money back, please sue them in small claims court.

I have never heard you all saying negative things. I trust you. There are companies that I would never do business with again. Business is a two way street. Businesses get money, and customers get value. Without this, the relationship breaks down.
Take them to court. This is a win case. A contract is a contract. You have paperwork with dates on them.

They should be made to honor the contract. You signed changes or no changes that's sign contract. They can't change it down the road unless you agree and sign it. So I would fight for that $200. It's the principle.. Moral of the story know your parks. People stay away from corporate. They're not there for you you're there for them$$$$$😢
