@@thedarkharvester i fully expected it to oneshot anyways but then he lived on 1hp and i was like “yeah fair, barb with overheal” and then he died anyways
I'm new and play only solo ( i dont have friends to play with). i got great matches using your longbow build. it's extremely powerful, even more if you dont have good gear bc of the base stats and damage of the Longobow. I tried recurve and it's also great, but survival (for me playing only normals and sometimes -25 gear) only scratches people. I have a great time playing landmine rogue/firebox's build too
I’m so glad you’ve found it to work. I haven’t heard of firebox. I’ll have to look up this video. If you have a link, i’ll check it out. Thanks for the support, JPPS!
lol, the thing is, it’s hardly any different against Rangers, Rogues, Bards, Druids, Wizards, Slayer fighters, most warlocks. It’s really meant for barbs, fights and clerics who spec into PDR. But yeah, as you can see, it was doing well!
Hey I'm excited to see the new longbow video. I've stuck with it since the last few months and I can win fights more often now. Thank you for the inspiration! Do you have any tips for doing the Goblin cave bosses as Ranger?
Honestly, I don’t even boss much. I’ve done the cave troll moving around left side but I think both cave troll and cyclops are more efficient moving right side. But I’m definitely not the one to give advice on bossing. I’ll make a video on it one day!
Think you could make a small video on stat allocation and kit building? You always have great kits and I try to pick them apart but I can never seem to fully understand the system. Loving the ranger content btw, got me to move there from playing Fighter with Spear since I hated building pdr
Sounds like a great idea! I try and maintain above 300 movespeed with ranger hood and loose trousers. I like the damage from heavy boots, padded tunic, and riveted gloves. I like physical power on my gear rolls. Ill do a video about this! Thanks for the idea, Ike
Okay guess ive been sleeping on the shotgun blow. The reason i never used it because i end up blowing through all my arrows. And i assumed using the armor pen skill which works well with spear was better
Armor pen/ spear is good but if you’re using a spear then you’re not utilizing your bow perks and are fighting with low health/low pdr. Compared to other frontline classes like barb, fighter, cleric, demon
I have run this in solos and done well. But move speed is much more important in solos because you have to worry about front line classes getting up in your face. Rogue, fighter, etc. Recurve, quick fire, quick shot is better in solos. I did just do a fun survival bow build though! Check out the new video.
what build is your barbarian running? looks like he's running chest armor + 1h/shield, curious why he runs that instead of fighter. I'm new to the game but it looks like a fun playstyle.
He’s been testing out different stuff but it looks like axe specialization with horseman’s and felling is strong. He usually runs a lantern as opposed to a shield but I like the shield because I just need tanky on my team
The actionspeed ability outperforms quickshot on the longbow, atleast in my experience. 2 fast shots is just less value than 50% action speed where u can shoot 3-4 times fast in a row and reload faster.
If you’re talking about damage over the length of a long fight, you’re absolutely right. But if you’re initiating with double shot and hitting both shots, it’s absolutely devastating. Sitting, looting, spell recovery, sanctuary, are just a few examples of what causes players to stand still and hitting the free headshot and then a second shot is enough to win the fight in itself. But yeah, the quick fire is definitely good for more drawn out fights!
Yes, strength affects damage and slightly affects health (Healths main stat is vigor) What is important depends on how you play but the main stats on ranger are, damage (physical damage, physical damage bonus, true physical damage, additional weapon damage), move speed (Agility, additional move speed, move speed bonus), and Attack speed (Dexterity, Action Speed). You can play slower and stronger (Like my longbow play style) or you can play faster and weaker (Like my recent survival bow video)
@@thedarkharvester Wow this is all good info, thanks man. I mostly play with my friends, meaning that im often in the back, Seems like I'll try and play more with Strength then. Not like I need to run when I have nice meat shields in front of me most of the time.
What class did you go against? I do agree that recurve move speed is better in solos because of the enemy diversity. In duos and trios, you play with a frontline and don’t need the move speed. But I have run this in solos and killed full HR lobbies also. The biggest counter is landmine rogue because they’ll silence you and you’re installed. Next is Fighters but with the sprint nerf, they’re not as bad. I’ll make a longbow solo video soon 😁

that teamkill at the end was hilarious
Right!? I didn’t expect to do that much damage….

great video I've been playing alot of ranger but can't decide what to run and what skills especially since the armor pen buff
Thanks for your support! I really like shotgun (multishot) and double shot (Quick Shot)

Was running this build earlier today, except i was using spear also, got all the way from neophyte to wanderer II
The spear is really strong and great against PvE!

Otto! Also, is longbow viable for solos or would you rather run recurve/survival for solos?
