After his passing and this release I couldn’t listen to it, so many years have passed and I finally got the courage to return to his songs, yet I still cannot seem to stop crying
it kinda was messed up of sm to relase this like a few days after his announcmebt like they really olayed with everyones emotions like that and they did it without even explaining they would so somepeople thought he was still alive and it was really messes up at the time. but im glad you finally got to listen to this song

Jonghyun is not a poster boy of depression or suicide. Don't come here everytime someone committed suicide saying "Who's here after *** death?" Who's here after *** suicide?" It hurts seeing comments like this!

I get what you're saying, and I agree that it's not right to make Jonghyun a poster boy, but you have to take into account that there are actually people who were deeply affected by Jonghyun's death, and every time they are reminded of it, it's like a knife to the heart. I think that some people are just trying to seek comfort from other people who feel the same sense of loss. The topic of suicide in general is really touchy/triggering for some people. I'll use myself as an example. Because I haven't been exposed to very much suicide (thankfully) hearing about one suicide was enough to trigger memories of other suicides that I'd cared deeply about. When I heard Sulli died, I listened to even more of Jonhyun's music than I usually do (and I normally listen to him a lot) because I was just overwhelmed by a tide of memories from when he was alive, and ultimately, the same aching feeling I felt over his death had come back. It's definitely wrong to use Jonghyun as a poster boy, or to get likes, but for me it was also a little comforting to know that I'm not the only person who was drowning in sad memories at Sulli's death. There's a line between what's remembrance and what's disrespectful, and I think some people have crossed it, but other's haven't. Does that make sense?

EVERY single one of his mvs have comments like that and it’s sad to see. it’s the worst on the Lonely mv. it’s like they just see him as an example and not as a real human being. his music remains incredible (& will always) simply because it’s GOOD music. those people just come here to get likes to validate themselves for some reason.
ShorterthanJimin but sulli’s passing has nothing to do with jjong’s and it’s disrespectful to mention her (and every other idol that passes) on HIS work. i was a fan of sulli so i found solace with her own fans in her own music video comment section. most of the people that comment those things aren’t fans of jonghyun OR sulli. people love to hype up artists when they pass for a couple days/weeks and then stop caring. obviously i feel pain in jonghyun’s passing too but he isn’t a poster boy of death like you’re making him sound. we all miss him and we were all sad about sulli, but *solely* mentioning him ONLY in situations like depression, death, suicide, is so harmful because he’s so much more than that. i wish people thought of him more often & not just when death happens. it’s so hurtful to see that as his legacy when he accomplished so much in his career that everyone ignores.

@@laurag8126 life is actually very difficult, but you are here and so you are meant to be here, your life has value and a purpose. Your body loves you, it works constantly for your whole life to do the best for you that it can. It's so simple but hard to actualise that what you do with your body affects your mind. You need to eat the right foods, you need to move your body, you need to sleep and rest enough, i assure you these things affect your moods positively and negatively. You should try to smile as often as you can and laugh so try to watch fun, uplifting things when possible. There is a saying that 'thought got locked in the mind for being stupid' and i agree. It's difficult but try not to think so much, let thoughts pass like cars or clouds.
I was thinking about Jonghyun this morning, reading his quotes, listening to his albums and looking at his pics and i thought imagine if he only knew how much we really, genuinely loved and cared for him and accepted him for who he was with flaws and all and no matter what would be there for him. But did he know that, i don't know? The truth is not everyone would, and that's ok, so many of us would and if he knew he had that maybe he'd still be with us physically, which is what we all wish.
So maybe you don't realise that actually you are very much loved and cared for. But even say if at this moment in time you are not, please don't think that this is permanent cos it never is. Life doesn't work like that and fortunately or unfortunately life is very complex and has so many twists and turns, some good, some great, some bad etc because that is life itself, it isn't just one thing, it is many things. Travel through this journey of life my dear knowing that 'you were designed for accomplishment, engineered for success and endowed with the seeds of greatness' and that 'greatness is not measured by what a man or a woman accomplishes, but by the opposition he or she has had to overcome to reach their goals.'
