- All the crews, and all the atmosphere of Sidecar Race One, from Parc Fermé to the Start Line, up until the race was red-flagged., when the crews returned for a re-start. (The re-started race will be uploaded shortly).

Got a few goosebumps watching Ian Bell here who sadly lost his life in race 2 R.I.P mate a true road warrior.
Really liked that you showed the teams lining up for the start. What is remarkable is that you were able to be so close to them; all of the teams seemed to be down to earth instead of having a huge entourage. Great job!
Thank you so much. I try to show every team - they all do such a great job, but very few ever appear on the TV coverage.
Great video. Wish could see more of Ian Bell and son Carl. He will be missed up here , such a great guy and a huge loss to his family and friends, R.I.P Ian
I agree with you absolutely - he will indeed be sadly missed, and by us here, too. I have good still shots of Ian and Carl passing the grandstand on each lap of Race 2, along with all the other competitors, but I don't know how best to show them in his memory, on what is basically a movie channel. I hope to give it a try as a slide show, with a bit of "Rostrum" work, and with live sounds from Race 1, synchronised, if possible. It may take me a while to do. The camera was set on high-speed repeating shutter (whatever the right term for that is), so I have about four successive shots for each high-speed pass, taken from the pit-line. Wish I could add a sample shot here, but I don't know if that's possible.
In the meantime, all I can offer is the re-started Race One - "TT2016 Sidecar One - the re-started Race", and the Tuesday Practice from Ramsey Hairpin. Thank you very much for your comment.

Hi 344geordie, in case it takes me rather a long time to put Race 2 together - if you would like to email me I would be very happy to send you some of the pictures I mentioned of Ian and Carl for you to pass on to your biker mates. Have a look at TH-cam "The Jurby Mice Take to the Air" - you may like the aerial trip around the Island anyway - but look at 8' 46" . I've visited Bedlington, and had a quick chat with Ian early on in Practice week, this year and last year. All the best. Peter.

I did not know those men but i picked that bike out of the crowd as my instant favorite. I could not believe it was him who got killed.
We just hope that this year will be free from serious incidents.

I love the sidehacks, I even got to spend about an hour as pilot one time but it was only in a new parking lot we turned into our private race track for the day. If the people that ran the new truck stop had only got to see how much their new lot could be! lol
Realy nice to hear from you. I spend all TT fortnight with a French TT sidecar team, who have my black Manx cat as their mascot! The best I've ever managed is a few lifts back from Parc Fermé to the paddock on about two square feet of passenger space! All the best.
