Agreed! The Marshall sounds “muddy” compared to the Bose. It truly depends on the type of music. IF Danny would play a classical track, the superiority of the Bose over the Marshall would be mind blowing.

I have 2 Flex speakers and they crank at only 12w each. First time Bose buyer and was hesitant. All the less than 4 star ratings put me off but I took a chance. I bought one at first but then was stunned at the quality of sound. I EQ through my phones player and also when using jetAudio app. It sounds very good with no EQ, but I like higher tones due to my hearing. I never liked the sound from any Marshall BT I listened to. They maybe wearing the Emperor's New Clothes.

Im guessing on the box or paperwork somewhere he took where it says 2x 20 watt speakers this size and 2x 10 watt speakers this size and he just was adding the watt that shows the 20 and the 10 making it a total of 30 he probably wasn't thinking to double it because it shows 2 of each size. That would be my guess on how he came up with it. Easy mistake to make especially if your tired or just not really thinking at the time. Its a mistake anyone could make very easily. I could be wrong, but Its the most likely scenario to have happened.

Then I look above and see his reply stating what I just said. Lol my bad guys I only seen where this had one comment and I seen the guy talking about wattage of the Bose flex that he got incorrect. If you do a Google search it is listed in several places to have only 12 watts on the Bose Flex. With speakers at 2x 6w RMS. Also it does not have an amp or EQ so it would just be 12w

Would be interested to know where it is you’re finding 12 watts as a listed spec for the Bose. As far as I’m aware Bose doesn’t list the power output of any of their lifestyle speakers. I’d certainly imagine the Flex to be pushing more than 12 watts considering it can hold it’s own against a JBL Flip 6 which is rated as a 30 watt speaker.

Google search shows this for the output just as he claimed. Im guessing he found it somewhere in the paperwork or on the box. He's not going to make a claim if not verified somehow. The only ones you have to look out for are the ones that have just someone speaking and sounds like they're telling a review for the establishment it sounds rehearsed and made to push certain sells on products and you have to verify everything because you can never tell what is true and what isn't

@@RenegadeRebel83 Bose do not, and never have, detailed any such specs on any of their consumer products ever. Anyone who prints specs for a Bose product is making it up.
      See for yourself en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bose_Corporation

I was in the same situation. I bought the SoundLink Color several years ago,. I still own it, but the battery life started to become an issue back around 2022.
I went to Best buy during Black Friday 2022, and they had a display of all the Bose BT speakers, from the intro model SoundLink Micro all the way up to the Bose Portable Smart Speaker which is normally $399. After I listened to all of them, I was really impressed with the Bose Flex, so I bought it.
I do like Bose's more expensive speakers with the 360 degree sound, such as the SoundLink Revolve 2, and the SL Revolve +2 - but I felt like the Flex is the best choice when it comes to sound quality, price, design and portability. And I didn't think that the SoundLink Revolve 2 (which is the next speaker up from the Bose Flex) sounded significantly better, even with the better directivity and cylindrical design of the Revolve 2.
When I am listening to music I tend to position the speaker so that the sound output is directed towards me. Sometimes I do pair the Flex with the older Soundlink Color which I still have, even though the SL Color's battery life is not that good, the stereo function still works great.

      1. If you sit in front of the speaker, you won't hear the bass, only if you stand against a wall

Bose flex has bass, most reviewers say so also. I have one and is the best bass mid range speaker.

I mean in my opinion the bose soundlink flex doesn’t offer much bass but it has/produces a lot of bass for its size. So does the comparable JBL flip 6.

It doesn't sound boxy in person... the Kilburn II is super boxy sounding though.

I AM Soooo TORN!! Watching all of your Video's Danny!!! HAHA, great Job by the way, and I am a Guitar Player/Audiophile, and have veryyy expensive Tube Guitar amps that these little toys don't even come within the same Zip Code far as LOUD / QUALITY...The best so far in my opinion is the JBL Authentics 200, BUT it has NO Battery!!! but the 300 DOES??!! Welllll...ughhh why? That was a mistake, I would of definitely went with the 200, so the other option is the Klipsch DETROIT, but it's $300...The Middleton is $250 but is not as good from what I can tell...Ugh! what to do?! Klipsch Detroit ($300) / ($150) Nashville? Anyone else stuck in this Dilemma??

I like your videos and I got a new Woburn 3 based on your suggestion and it sounds beautiful. Which eq setting would you recommend for casual listening?? I am finding it hard to get that sweet spot 😅
Excuse me for asking this question out of this video’s context 😊

Honestly I have mine set to defaults. Every song is going to change how it sounds. But also I listen to tracy chapman, tennis, and lots of indie.

SBC is completely fine for a small BT speaker, I dare you to hear a difference on a MONO BT speaker with 2 inch drivers lol.
They tune the speakers and use all kinds of digital fkery to make it sound better anyway 👍
    The Middleton sounds better and..
    Is almost twice the size..

High end? lol. Bose is for sure a Highbrow snob high end product. and 4.2 Bluetooth with the old ass charging port. Makes it an ancient pos relic. Marshall sounds better and is all around a better speaker and company

Bose is a clear winner here, it a smaller speaker with a better sound quality. Marshall middleton is trash put it against a 30w speakers and you'll see how horrible it sounds.

Bose still overpriced junk living off 90s reputation. Idk when people are gonna learn.. Marshall has been around making guitar speakers for 70+ yrs used by bands like Metallica lynrd skynrd etc I knew once a Bluetooth line up came out it would be a game changer and I was 100% correct. NOTHING beats the sound quality of Marshall. I had 2 JBL xtremes in my barber studio and we all know how great the xtreme 1 sounds the minute I heard I just ONE Marshall Acton II, I sold both JBL’s the same day.. They have way too much experience making speakers and their Bluetooth lineup is no different don’t waste money on anything else I promise nothing beats a Marshall

Maybe the overall sound on the Bose Flex sounds better to you, or maybe you prefer the way the bass sounds on the Flex versus the Middleton, but you can clearly hear that the Middleton has a helluva lot more bass as well as much bigger sound.
