  • A good friend of mine informed me that the Jon boat that he had been working on was finally ready to hit the river. I told him that if he was ready, then so was I! So we hitched up and headed off to Yellow River.
Launching out of Rivers Edge, we made our way on up the river quite easily. Other than being a little noisy, the mud motor performed flawlessly. The only complaint I really had was how uncomfortable it was sitting on that metal boat all day. haha. Ill definitely figure out some kind of padding for that on our next trip.
With the river being so high, fishing was relatively difficult due to strong currents and trying to stay in one place long enough to make good cast and let our bait sit long enough for fish to notice.
I think the next time, we will either fish another portion of the river with slower moving currents, or fish a completely different river system.
    Thanks for watching!

I feel like that boat could hold 1 more person. What about that one Taylor guy? He's kind of a big deal! Handsome as well!

How far have you made it up Yellow River by boat? I'm wanting to try it out soon, but couldn't find any info. Furthest I've gone is up near Log Lake.

It gets pretty shallow in places. It all depends on the size of boat you're in.

should pivot the mud motor shaft to the inside of the boat for trailering. easier and safer to tow that way.

Great video! I've ran these type motors for a few years. The 4x4 of boat motors. Just a word of advice, tell your buddy to spin that longtail around into the boat while trailering. Towing it with the tail out the way he has it is not only hard on his transom but very unsafe, red flag or not.

Cool video, just subbed. By any chance, would you know if a tunnel on a jon boat would interfere with a mud motor's performance
