You don't know the people that make these guns. We know their government is terrible, though.
I am not a fan of Turkish shotguns - but every handgun from Turkey I have purchased has been great.

My wife had the Hatsan Escort bull pup 12 guage. Two 5 round mags. That was a fun one to shoot.
I agree 100% on Turkish handguns but not shotguns.
It's two different licenses to manufacture in Turkey, smoothbore and rifles barrels. The manufacturing standards for rifled barrels are controlled by the government and there is almost no standards set for smoothbore barrels. That's why there are so many more shotgun brands and the quality is less.

I heard SAR had a smaller 9 coming. This should be a big hit. Between this and Canik's new Mete MC9, should make for some great options. Thanks, Dan!

That revolver looks cool. With the way the hammer jumps back up, that's a S&W hammer block setup going on there. Every budget revolver I know of uses the cheaper Taurus transfer bar system, so that's quite impressive to see it's truly modeled after a S&W on the inside as well.

SAR USA/Sarsmilaz is not really "budget". They are basically the Turkish military. They can afford to sell these guns so cheap because a dollar here is like 5 dollars there, so they can afford to produce this stuff for dirt cheap.
Ive had a sr 8 SAR revolver for years , youtube search it they have been reviewed ,,,Been a great gun

Love the subcompact. I have a older Taurus 66 with 6 shots and wooden grips that’s awesome so I don’t need another revolver but theirs looks nice.

SAR is clearly listening. My SAR9 was a great value but wished I could find an optic ready version and maybe a little trigger upgrade. Great stuff. I’d love to try that revolver.
Love the revolver. Has alot of s&w 686 vib. Only 2 things I'm not crazy about is the crane and rod is black and that little high rise piece of the grip.

The Sar38 was imported by TR Imports out of Texas about 6 years ago. I kept bugging Sar to bring it back to the US.😁
Love my SAR9C after only one day at the range. The SC is a potential EDC for me replacing aP938. Any chance the mags of the SAR9C will work in the SC?
I love their CZ steel frame clones but I have never been a fan of the Sar9. Now their is a new kid on the block that to me is better than the Sar9 and is also made in Turkey.
The Tisas PX9 comes optic ready, magwell, fiber optic sight, thread barrel and two magazines 18 and 20 rounds all for around $350. I own two and love them.
The SAR K2C has all 45 of the acps, in a 3.8 barrel, 15 round capacity & super compact. It's made to iso 9000/9001 standards for mfg tolerances & is NATO approved. It's a thicker version of a cz sp01 in 45, but I'm not sure if I mentioned it or not: it holds 15 rounds!

I love the stars I’ve had several of them my favorite one was the K 12. It’s a server version of a CZ 75 but in 45 the price is great and it shoots like you wouldn’t believe. I can’t wait to get my hands on that sour nine socom

The patent date on the 686 must have expired....anyway that 357mag is very much alike the SW 686

I thought the fde one kinda looks like HK's. Are those grip panels removable?

It's 7 months now since this video wanted the SAR 9sc but still can't find one and if l do it's 475+ dollars so l bought the Stroeger STR-9sc the gen 2 model with the updated grip texture and one 11 one 13 round magazines at Sportsmans Warehouse in Tampa for 352 dollars out the door price with tax and call in fee this last weekend

Any idea when the SAR revolver is coming? I have the SAR K2 45 acp and love that gun. Not perfect but damn it's close.
My buddy brought a SAR 9 over last year and I kinda rolled my eyes. He let me shoot it and I was blind sided by the accuracy. I don't own one but to me, the proof is in the puddin. I may have to take a real close look at the SOCOM. Looks amazing, love the flared mag-well.

I'm always looking for a new revolver . I'll give this a shot. My favorites are 3 or 4 inch models but I have them all. I don't have a python yet though. I'm envious for sure.

I honestly don’t think that I’ve ever seen a SAR, but that revolver looks sweet.
The revolver's cylinder looks large enough to contain 7 rounds, that would make 14 with a speedloader, it would be a nice edge to have.
Sir do you know if the Socom will fit rmr/holosun footprints flush or are they requiring plates for all optics? Either way I'm getting one. My gen 1 Sar9 is a tank

Socom looks like a winner. The compact only coming with 2 12's instead of 12 and 15 is a big miss in my opinion. As well as the price. The revolver I would really be interested in. But at that price, I'll stick with Taurus or the windicator. And if I want to pay that much id go with S&W or a ruger. Thanks Dan. Glad you made it there.
The good news is I don’t think SAR street price is anywhere close to MSRP. SAR9s can be found way below their MSRP
Taurus revolvers aren’t what they’re hyped up to be. I think the SAR is going to be the budget revolver to beat.
Sarsilmaz are very nice pistols.
I was looking at the revolver till u said that price. The Rossi rp63 is more affordable, I believe around 450-460 before taxes and all that jazz and in these times affordable and dependable is the best route.
I'm with ya, you can get a Ruger GP100 for that price.

I like SAR, but I'm not sure about that revolver's success priced at the same level as the Ruger GP100's. Not having a fiber optic front sight is a bummer also. Manufacturer's need to get passed front ramped sights, in my opinion of course.
Remember, that's MSRP, they'll sell for well below that.

He said prices aren't set, but estimated MSRP will be below $700, so it will probably be available for even less than that, although I noticed prices are creeping back up again on pretty much everything.

@@barfo281 S&W has up to 100.00 rebates going on but I personally don't buy them....not for any reason other than I buy other brands. The supply is really up there now, shocked prices are going up by so much. Of course the new stuff always demands a high price and later comes down, but SAR just went stupid. It shows that Glock needs to step its game up if so many companies can produce Glock clones thats better than the original at an affordable price they can do something innovative and stop giving us the same gun with minor upgrades that we been asking for for years

The "SAR-9 SOCOM" is called _SAR-9 SP_ overseas. I don't know why they stuck an official name like SOCOM on a handgun model when they have nothing to do with it. It sounds both gimmicky and inappropriate. SAR USA still hasn't gotten their marketing act together at all. They had an opportunity to create a brand, but SOCOM isn't even a brand they own.
SAR has sold revolvers in the US when TR Imports distributed them. Just search "SR-38" on TH-cam, there's a lot of reviews. TR Imports was the only time their marketing was great. Neither EAA before them nor SAR USA after them have done Sarsilmaz any justice.
