LOVE SERENA. She's the best. Never gives up. Mr. Williams did such an excellent job preparing his daughters to be the champions that they are. He covered all aspects of the game and life. Made them tough
The return of Elena at 1:40:13 is unbelievable. Serena's serve is within cm of the centre line at 107mph - surely an ace against any other player. Elena takes a stance quite near the centre, giving up aces out wide so that she can make such returns. She even takes a slight step to right, only just reaches it on the full stretch, and sends a return to the baseline, following up with a winner.
That goes to show to all haters Why Serena is one of the greatest of all time (she beat the current Olympic medalist champion) no one can pull that off except Serena.
GRAF won the golden slam twice. 4 slams in a row in the same calendar year and the Olympic gold. Never been done before and probably will never do again.

Dementieva was definitely one of the best athletes we've seen in the past 30 years. She could have won some slams if she just had a slightly better serve as it let her down a lot.
@@bobjacubas6818 It is interesting to wonder what happens in the final with Venus if she wins. Venus usually has a good record vs Dementieva, but Dementieva beat her at the Olympics and had some success vs her, and most of all Venus was badly injured and pretty subpar in the final. I would guess Dementieva would have a pretty good shot.
She should have improved her serve earlier in her career. It was much better and improved here but it would up being too little too late. If she had this serve in 2004 I have no doubt she wins the 2004 French and 2004 U.S Open both where she lost in the final. She could have won the French and maybe even the U.S finals even with her 2004 serve without falling apart in both finals through nerves, but even if she still was this nervous and underplayed as she did, with this serve she wins those anyway.
