My pops passed away recently, Army Special Forces Green Beret MAC V SOG, (2 purple hearts) Vietnam. Thank you for showing respect to those mad lads 🫡

Almost always got that impression from Vets & active duty men/women, that they love this country. Got from 45 too, but the current one not so much. More like a love of power over all the rest. Hard to talk with today's youngsters as it's often only insults, still try though. Thank you to you guys, awesome stories. And thanks Dad for teaching us about honor, respect and duty. A Navy diver brass hat, later an 82nd, 101st man. Then later Huey & Cobra pilot and flight instructor. Seen a lot of Our Country, Bragg, Benning, Rucker, Carson, Nellis, and Singapore. Salute to All of our people in uniform.

@@johnmeyer8140 1968, I believe he was on the Cambodian border area to the west not sure of the name of the base.I was a year old when he was there. He came home in 74. Unfortunately I don't get to see him much. My mother asked about the,Killing kids ect. Which caused a serious rift, between my four brothers and Father, towards my Mother. He waked away and I only see him now and then. But he's a great guy and Brother. And thank you tilt and Jacko,. I lear of my brothers life. And it makes me respect and honor him, as well as you and all the Patriots who gave everything to our country. God bless and keep you all.

40 million + have served the U.S. since 1776, just over 3,500 have earned the MOH since the Civil War. MAD RESPECT to you sir! I've seen many interviews of MOH recipients and every one is so humble, says they did nothing more than any other troop would've done. I salute you both!

These SOG stories are astonishing. There’s something about this war that makes it cryptic, heroic, savage, heroic, brutal, heroic, raw, with an indescribable level of bravery that borderlines psychotic, yet very endearing all at the same time. No other war (as interesting as they are in their own right) in history compares to these SOG stories. To my daily regret, I missed the WWII by a generation, so I’m so proud to have been alive to know, and live with, these astonishingly brave men.

Man these episodes and books are done and told so well that I can imagine each and every scene detailed in full awe in my mind as they are read/told. And this is merely my imagination at 36 years of age. I can’t even imagine THE reality that these 2 men and many many others found themselves knee deep in within, often times, minutes of in country arrival.. so much of my utmost and heartfelt condolences, blessings and immense gratitude are said each and every night for brave men, that stand up in dark times such as these, God Bless.
Recording History and Hero's, who otherwise would have been lost.

Jocko and Tilt thank you for doing this I’ve had family members serve in every war in our countries history but my uncle died before he could tell me his story from Vietnam so it’s awesome hearing all this keep getting after it

Most Americans have NO idea that we fought an ultra classified, super secret wars for 8 years. The reason the ramp was lowered before the controlled crash, if up it could be stuck up by the crash. Lowered allowed a escape point.

My brother was there as a medic and he would only administer just enough morphine where as long as they felt some of the pain meant that they are still alive.

Can't give away the secrets, they tried with a weekly show one time before platoon but I forgot name of it it was really accurate followed a company are platoon in Vietnam

they probably know him by name but he was stationed in CCS and passed in ‘66 or ‘67 I think.. tilt got there in ‘68 and was up in CCN

Make another version of Tour of Duty just call it Tour of Duty SOG film it in the Philippines like the regular show did plenty of south Asian actors for the enemy even go to talk to some retired north Vietnamese vets and get them to help for the Vietnamese side in filming and don’t just have SOG winning every time be realistic
