Life happens so over the past few years I haven't stayed up to date much on your channels. Just wanted to say glad to see everything is going well and excited to see you're moving to FL! I got divorced in 2020 from my ex of 12 years (only married for 3) so I totally get what you're going through, but seems to me it's all for the best which is great. Life is short. Dave I have watched CS since 2019. I am a movie collector and a thrifter. When I saw What's with Dave Today I enjoyed that as well. When you came up with the name Retro Rest Stop, I thought the name was very cool and very fitting. I have enjoyed watching the channel evolve and I enjoy watching your journey. I will continue watching and I wish you all of the best luck on the road you have chosen.
Been to this park a few times with my kids and didnt know the stream originate from a natural spring, wow. I started watching your channel for local attractions and I am gonna miss the new finds once you move to Florida.

Hey marriage is serious, my wife and me had rough times good times , for over 35 yrs still married We take marriage seriously, I understand stand , people can grow apart but take counseling helps and. Sometimes it’s doesn’t , I am 65 and my wife 67 Hopefully you can get friends with ex. For your son sake , I’ll get you in our prayers

I wonder if this park got hit with the tree fungus and disease that has taken out many tress in the US. Basically once it hits the tress have to be cut down our it rots them from the inside making them a danger of falling. Many of the parks around here have been stripped of a lot of tress as well. Sadly a lot of very old oaks and walnut tress that were here before the city was when most of this place was farm land.

Just wanted to let you know from somehow who has been through two divorces and took 39 years to find the love of my life and to now have a son, I'm super glad you are finding your happiness. Selling my house in N.J. was one of the most draining experiences of my life! I sold my house, bought a house in Bucks County PA, and closed on both houses the same day!!! It was a time in my life Id rather forget. From experience, use a highly recommended realtor and find a good lawyer!! Get a thurough inspection before you list your home and if you're not looking to spend money on any repairs/upgrades, sell as-is. A LOT of people like to visit open houses and have no intention on purchasing. I made sure that anyone who came to see my house was pre-approved for a mortgage. Trust me, this keeps away the time wasters. It's a seller's market now. Most of the time, if you list your home at a lower price, you will create a bidding war. Homes in my neighborhood are selling for hundreds of thousands of dollars more than asking price. Good luck.

Don't feel too bad about the divorce Dave. I'm in the same boat as you and split up with my ex fiance in 2013. We were together for 5 years and I have a 12 year old daughter with her so in that respect, i know what youre going thru. When the writing is on the wall, you have to do what is best and at least you and Brittany parted on good terms. Me and my ex grew apart too.

I definitely feel your regret about not documenting things. There are so many times when I wish I had documented some things back in the late 2000s and early 10s. I wish I documented my anime convention days back in those days or what stores looked like back then. These days, I try to document more things in my life because when I look back at them 10 years later, they will become nostalgic. Anyway, congrats on you and Danielle and happy new year.

I had been away from TH-cam, due to sickness and other things in life for several months, and the first video that I saw back of yours was that video where you kind of hinted at things that you mentioned, and even then it was pretty obvious what happened so I will say that as a fan of yours I’m just grateful that you are happy, I’m grateful that Shawn will stay happy, Dani is happy, and Britney is happy! I started as a viewer of cinema sickness, but I really enjoy this change that you have made, and was happy to be a supporter with membership, and I hope to be able return to that at some point! my parents are divorced too, i was probably about 4 years old at the time & my sister was just a little over 1 year old. her & i both turned out great & my parents & their partners are great too they all get along. my stepmom has 2 kids from her previous marriage & her & my dad have my almost 15 year old younger half sister. & now her son & his girlfriend are having a baby boy & me & my sisters are going to be aunties💙

I would have liked to hear more about how you guys grew apart over the years, as I think that's a pretty common dynamic in many marriages that doesn't get touched on very often, but I understand not wanting to dive too deep.

Do the thing. It doesn't matter what it is you want to try doing. The first one you do will probably suck but that's okay. You just have to keep doing it and eventually you'll get better
