Catching a 15” Wild Brown Trout on a small mountain stream

- Fly fishing a tributary to one of the major spring creeks in Central, PA. I had checked out this spot a few weeks ago and noted the browns were spawning in these pools (I even have a video of this exact pool from earlier in November). Came back to check if they were done with their spawn and ready to eat flies again and they sure were! I grabbed this skinny 15” brown right at the head of the pool on a size 14 JoJo’s ant.

Are these fish native? No, they are invasive. These aren’t endangered fish.

@@rockymntdan1 That fish literally wouldn't be alive and in a stream if it weren't for fisherman. Brown trout are not native to North America, especially PA.
