    I’m currently retired, and considering the current rollercoaster nature of the stock market, I decided to stay on the sideline for awhile, now I’m worried with the numerous bank failures as of late, am I better off reinvesting my savings in the stock market or do I wait?

      I’m seeking to invest a good amount across various markets and was advised to diversify between stocks and bonds, since they can help hedge against inflation, but can't tell which is safer at this point, or am I better off just holding cash?

    From a side hustle in my garage to a R2m yearly turnover.... it can be done , but time is your biggest hurdle.With that there is my daily job and my property portfolio to manage. There is a fine line between having "enough" money but no time to enjoy it. I need that balance

    I appreciate the knowledge you've provided, There’s this woman I got in touch with during the last economic recession which cost me my job. Ms. Norman Davis helped me manage my assets by introducing my to the best trading method, I earned a lot of $$$ working with Norman at the comfort of my home. I still keep in touch with the amazing lady

      I run a mini food business in Paris which have been affected by food inflation and I needed a side hustle that could help me boost my small business, so I could give my employees better wages , I got in contact with Ms. Norman a month ago and my stories became testimonies… I wasn’t charged on my first investment with her. Yes, I received my first returns last week… I’m considering reinvesting

    New subscriber and looking forward to your journey. We're not that far away from FI (we're 43yrs old and are international teachers) and we're so excited about what that adventure will look like for us. We've invested largely in vanguard as part of our employment savings programme and that's what actually put us on this journey 10 years ago. I wonder about decumulation strategies ...... there doesn't seem to be a lot out there for early retirees. Keep up the great work and cannot wait for the upcoming videos.

    Forex trading with XM was the worst decision I've made in the last 2 decade. I lost all my 500k family savings within 2yrs, blew up 3 accounts. The so called experience traders or trading bot always fail eventually, not blaming XM or anyone though, all my fault. I just stick to less risky investments like properties and ETFs for now. I hope to reach my financial freedom within the next 4 years. Thanks for a great video as always 👍

    • @CasualCash
      @CasualCash  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Yeah I think it's always important to have an allocation of safe vs risky. I've done trading before, I started with R7K and made it to R8K. But it takes quite a lot of time. I am actually wanting to try Copy Trading myself, I have signed up and will see how the results go. I will just make sure I allocate a certain % of the portfolio and track the results. I think it's a clever idea, and possibly to split between a few traders to copy. But will see how the results go and prob let everyone know on the channel. But yeah, you definitely can't go wrong long term with property and ETFs, so important to have those in the portfolio 😊 thanks so much for the comment and kind words on the video 🙌

      @oluwafemifasan. I’m with you on that one. Trading to me proved to be like playing the slot machine, you get these small sometimes big wins and that makes you believe that you got this. But at the end, just like at the casino, the house always wins

    • @oluwafemifasan4826
      @oluwafemifasan4826 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's actually what it is. The truth behind it that we had to learn the hard way. You're placing a bet on what you THINK a billion people around the world will do. Someone has to lose money for you to make money. I just stick to long term investments, and I could sleep soundly.

    Îm thinking about eventually retiring to South Africa. Would R3.7 million that generates R82,866.40/month of dividend or options premium income be enough if I wanted to retire there?(Assuming Id rent a humble but nice place)
    Or R 7.1 million that generates R 1.1 million per year( I would invest less aggressively)
    I live in the US and this type of income is barely making it in the US. Ive thought about eventually selling everything and moving to Cape Town. I love SA but its been a while since Ive been.
    (I did the conversions for you: USD 200-222800 generates 57k/year
    or eventually 400k USD generating 60k USD/year)

      Hi Chris what would be a fair amount to invest monthly to become a billionaire in south africa over 15years? I know it sounds crazy, but I always say aim for skys and land on the stars.

    • @CasualCash
      @CasualCash  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Hahaha, that is a brilliant and complicated question 😄. I think one that everyone wants the answer to. But I think the same, aim very high, and even if you don't reach it, you'll be higher than if you didn't aim for it at all.
      Well in investing, there is the safe and steady approach (which I usually take) and the higher risk, higher reward approach. In terms of being a billionaire, that is something incredibly hard to do. And in order to amass 1000,000,000 rand it's likely to be the higher risk side of things. We are probably talking Bitcoin, or taking risks on penny stocks hoping they grow like Apple did. But, there is also the risk of those same risky investments not doing well. With general growth, you would need to invest R4million a month for 15 years to reach a billionaire.
      To be honest I would recommend investing as much as you can a month in solid good long term investments. And allocating 5% of your portfolio to higher risk investments like those we mentioned 😂 because then over 15 years you are almost guaranteed to make an incredibly huge difference and build some wealth 😊

      @@CasualCash Thank you buddy, that sounds more like what i was thinking..
      Good penny stocks would be microchip companies&tech companies & Btc 100% yes, i see a bright future extremely bright in digital currency.. Due to fractional reserve banking being the last transition in the banking sector. What really is after that? Its a no brainer... I just needed confirmation to the information..
      Thanks again...

    I was an unexperienced stock trader and i lost over $30K when everything started to tank. Not because I was in an exchange that went belly up. I was just stupid to hold and because that's what everyone said. I'm still responsible. It just taught me to be a better investor now that I understand more of what could go wrong. It took me over two years of being in the market, I'm really grateful I find one source to recover my money, at least $5k profits weekly. Thanks so much Mrs Georgia Robinson

    Thank you for the video. So where does the 30 000 k passive income and 20 000k side income come from? TH-cam is 3.5 k and dividend payments.. and in the video you mentioned starting to trade.. i am sorry, I don't understand.

    • @CasualCash
      @CasualCash  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Haha that is a fair question 😊 So the TH-cam is the active income (side hustle) and the R20K. It makes R3,500 'per month'. So that's the R20K as it has grown over the year from smaller amounts. Then the R32K, just rewatch the video and pause on the spreadsheet. The spreadsheet details every single share and dividends and interest I get in passive income. I haven't started trading yet. So that's the breakdown, let me know if you have any further questions 😊

      Thank you so much, that's really great to hear :)
      Well for me there is a brilliant ETF in the USA portfolio which will give you great long term growth in share price and reliable dividends of about 3.8%, and it is called the Schwab U.S. Dividend Equity ETF. Another on the USA side is Realty Income, a property fund which pays you dividends every month and is currently paying around 5.63% a year. I can like both of those to hold onto for the long term.
      If you are looking more local, i am investing in the Satrix 40 ETF, this is a great ETF made up of the 40 largest companies in South Africa and gives you great capital growth over the long term, but also pays dividends of around 3.5% as well. If looking for some higher dividends I invest in Stor-Age, which is brilliant at reliable dividends of 9.63%, however the capital growth is not as stable as the ones I have mentioned above. That is often the trade off with higher dividends. But for me I like the USA shares, mainly Realty Income and Schwab :)
