Which also brings to light just how good the Springboks are at RWC, having won 4 titles, 2 of those back-to-back offshore. Remember South Africa played first RWC in 1995, missing the first 2 editions due to sporting boycotts. So, they have won 50% of the tournaments they have competed in.

Reiko is still developing is game especially in this modern game, centres are not like it used to be. But his skill level is unquestionable! Is ability on one on one and carrying the ball forward especially against smart defenders. RI will find his craft again like his was playing 7s as a 17s yr old! Go the ABs

No shit, this is monumentally transformational..... we have been waiting forever for a catalyst boost like this. In 1992, the All Blacks starting team led by Sean Fitzpatrick had 10 Maori & Pacifica players out of the 15 that walked on the paddock. UK Sportswriters began sniping about how NZ pillaged Pacifica players for NZ rugby and the ABS. Everywhere you look today poaching/scouting Pacifica teenagers is a popular practice at grassroots provincial clubs, as well as the top rugby secondary schools throughout the country. Ardie Savea is just putting out there what everyone has known for ages, Pacifica players are the best on the paddock and especially in the bank. Bullshit? Take a look at Australia where the current Wobbly side is beginning to shape like their NRL teams. But even better it is a well-known fact that in NFL football in the USA, Samoan players stand a 56% better chance than any other ethnic group of making it into the "top" of the sport. Already at 3% of the total number of players in the NFL, Samoans overrepresent their minute demographic by miles. Still think this is bullshit? When next you watch the ABs or any of the aforementioned teams think about this narrative. Malo
most of the abs are nz born. The nz system helped develop these new zealanders and they play for the all blacks. If you want to reduce everything to someones roots then technically every white kiwi is also english in which case england is massively overrepresented around the world also.

Best defensive 13 on planet. His defence has won us games 2-3 times. And yes his speed at 13 as Justin mentioned does cover two wide channels where no other 13 has that in their arsenal.
Watch in the clips in this article where Telea is open outside Reiko BUT had he passed would have seen the English cover defence just simply drift on to catch and bundle Telea out. Could Reiko have passed to a man in space? Yep? Would that man have got caught and turned the ball over? Yes! Did Reiko therefor make the right decision to hit it up. Yes! Did the AB's recycle and start again? Yes!
Reiko is not the best defensive 13 on the planet he’s no where near it. He is a fantastic winger and a barely passable centre. Reiko has had 3 years in the 13 and not 1 standout performance that includes against minnow teams. To sit there and say him and Jordy are they way forward is laughable. Neither get front forward ball and can’t bend the line, then they don’t distribute whenever there in space. I’m not saying they are bad players they are just bad midfeilders.

Yes, Ioane's position is at risk. His preferred position is centre, but he has proven to be a valuable player on the wing, where he made a name for himself. Right now, Procter is on the rise in that position. As a winger, Ioane has more space to maneuver on the field. He needs to make a decision about where he wants to focus his efforts on. Peace to our uso!
To move the world's best winger to centre was just one plain stupid? Why...just so they could make room for other good wingers?? I'm glad Razor is going to bring some consistency and logic to the selection process. Marshy is the only one with a handle on it.

Let's not take anything away from Procter and ALB but they were playing against Fiji for goodness sake, not a World Cup England side who almost beat SA in the semis last year. England was a much harder opponent who almost beat us twice, their defence and squad coordination, through the forwards and backs, was light years ahead of Fiji's. Reiko would have absolutely torn Fiji apart too if he had played. No disrespect to ALB and Procter but lets settle down a bit, I would like to see Reiko back on the wing as much as anyone but lets not act like he's not one of our best and most experienced backs.

Old man on the right needs his own podcast, he’s too strong of a character. Foster refused to use anyone else forcing him and Jordy to the midfield after a string of midfielders left overseas. Reiko has not had single game as effective as Proctor had against Fiji. Reiko and Jordy are not the way forward.
