    True Crime Podcast does the most in depth research on him. I will say tho I’ve never seen the 1st search photos or heard the Kimberly tapes. Very cool to hear them without foia request.

    I had a chance to listen!
    I found your channel right after I listened to all the interviews released by Sotos. I too really wonder who they are?! I’m glad they and you released all of it. The gatekeeping at TCBS really annoys me. Right after the Soto interviews were released someone made a comment on how horrible detective Doll treated Kimberly and I said the same thing and my comment was deleted, the gatekeeping there is pathetic. I do agree their research is good and I respect that but I don’t respect that kind of censorship!
    I hope your new venture is amazing! Keep us posted ❤

    This is one of the most fascinating cases for me. I can watch old videos that creators have made repeatedly. He’s so interesting. His cool and calm demeanor is so off putting yet so inviting.

      Definitely. It makes sense why Kimberly was completely unsuspecting of him. He's very guarded but also relaxed in his speech. Psychopaths are... terrifying.

    she needs to meet guys in local coffee shops. She is a nice girl with a lot on the ball, focused. I thought the local cops were a bit over-aggressive with her.
    They conned her out of her phone/lifeline, her wallet/car/house, and then pushed her into the cold streets of Alaska. I have never seen a significant other interrogated that way, she was ambushed.

      I used to work for the water department where I live in south Texas, one day a guy moved into a little house right next to a cemetery so we had to go turn his water on.. my partner was superstitious & asked that guy how he felt about living next to a cemetery.. he said he hadn’t really thought about it, I told him he’s got good neighbors.
      My partner gave me "the look” but luckily that guy thought my remark was kinda funny & he agreed.

    Kim was not saying what it was like, I think her "soft voice" was the result of how unpredictable and angry he was. He may not have been physically abusive to her but certainly verbally abusive like denigrating her, telling her she was stupid etc etc This was not a situation where they were peacefully dwelling together "broken up". She is so fearful of the effect on her job that she isn't sharing much

    Very very interesting on the sotos info 🧐 those vids have been out for awhile, I actually came across your channel after watching those and the FBI vids. Definitely agree on this info being public since the person in question is dead 🙄 especially if he was a “terriorist”.

    • @ViktoriaEvans

      💯 I've said it before, but Keyes wanted to FBI to protect information about him. So gatekeeping anything on the case is literally what Israel Keyes wanted. Protecting the wishes of a dead serial killer in the name of respecting the people whose lives he ruined is, in my book, not journalism.

    When creators wave the morality and ethics finger but allow access to FOIA docs/pics via a patreon it is curious.
    I understand the need for support to keep a channel and investigation going but the gate keeping and shaming is tired now. We were shamed years back for wondering if IK was involved in MM disappearance or possibly BM. Any discussion was shut down and people put down. Now look, a cliffhanger with MM sister JM.
    That said, I still enjoy TCBS. They've done more hours on IK than almost anyone and deserve kudos ✌️
    Thanks for sharing the information. I've always considered IK to be the most protected SK until recently.

    He became obsessed with Samantha, he let himself connect with her and was sexually attracted to her. his poem when he died is talking about her. I think he broke his own rule by stalking her first. The icky part is I think he "visited" her many times after she died, maybe why he was so late calling the taxi and may be part of the makeup because she was starting to look poorly as he was engaging with her.

  • @katrinacrowley

    I think Israel K. was very shamed about what he did, as a psychopath they have a varying degree of "lack of empathy" He seems to be able to compartmentalize until he is caught and having to talk about it, like a kid caught stealing a lollipop, its really good to eat until a parent says "where did you get that".

    Everything about Keyes is the stuff of nightmares. Was he really into the Satanism thing or was it to add to his persona ? I was just curious if he claimed a certain type of Satanism. There seems to be a benign strain and a violent strain. Fascinating video.

    • @ViktoriaEvans
      @ViktoriaEvans  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @willcifur I don't think he believed in Satan, I think his interest was more like LaVeyansim, where Satan is just a symbol of rebellion, and it's about hedonism. You are your own god, type of thing. Just a guess on my part, based on my own experience with it. I went down a similar path of interest in Anton LaVey (I couldn't care less about any of it now), but I don't think Keyes actually believed in the devil. If you don't believe in god, then how can you believe in the devil, you know? The two go together.
      I think he was just using the baphomet symbol to be provocative.
      (I don't remember if I mentioned this in the video or not - sorry if I am repeating myself)

    • @willcifur
      @willcifur 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@ViktoriaEvans I got that impression as well. He’s probably more akin to a homicidal nihilist. An agent of chaos. Satan would be a symbolic recoil of Christian morality. It’s like the whole final act of his story was a joke that only he was in on. He understood how intriguing his story was. He knew the amount of leverage he had with the FBI agents. They treated him like a dignitary and laughed at all of his jokes and gave him the treats he wanted. Which, by the way.. 🤔 I think each one of those items corresponded with a victim. He ordered an Americana from Samantha Koenig. I’m sure he enjoyed the hell out of drinking that in front of law enforcement. Sort of like Bundy wearing the sweater that said “Seattle” to his hearings. There is another brand of Satanism that views satan as a physical / spiritual force that requires sacrificial offerings and blood letting. I believe that particular version is “theistic”. Several killers have claimed allegiance to that nonsense over the years. I am fascinated by the occult. The early days for the most part; John Dee, Crowley , Jack (Freaking ) Parsons and Michael Aquino.
      Those skulls Keyes left I feel we’re done to drive the investigators insane for eternity.

    • @ViktoriaEvans
      @ViktoriaEvans  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @willcifur Yes, the occult is fascinating! You're probably right about where he was with it. He was asked if he felt like finding that camera was an "omen" and he kinda laughed and was like... no, lol. So I think he thought that stuff was nonsense, which it is.
      I think the skulls really did represent his victims. There's so much talk about his victim count being so much higher... honestly, I think he killed 11 people. I think that the FBI knows it, too. Idk, I could be totally wrong, and off-base.

    • @willcifur
      @willcifur 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ViktoriaEvans I think it’s easy to give these monsters more credit than is owed to them. At the end of the day Israel Keyes was hunted down and caught like all the rest of them. Hubris and ego are equalizers of the psychopaths. They can’t resist bragging , keeping incriminating trophies or becoming more brazen and risky in their crimes. Keyes had a set of rules that he adhered to one of which was never committing crimes in your area. I guess killing becomes like mowing the lawn to serial killers after awhile. The banality of evil is terrifying to me on a primal level. Israel Keyes being a concerned father to a daughter should not be something we have to reconcile. It really makes you wonder if they are a different species. A throw back that would have thrived back in those lean days where you were lucky to make your 40’s. Now they run amok among us. Let me ask you this .. do you have any thoughts on who his other victims were ? I do 😬 Id bet just about anything I own on it. That’s how sure I am lol

    I speculate that the reason he took Sam to his house stemmed from rage at Kim for the breakup. Wasn’t it 10 feet from the bedroom?? Why he disintegrated and broke all his cardinal rules.

    • @ViktoriaEvans
      @ViktoriaEvans  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I was curious if this had something to do with it, too. I do not know if he was a jealous person or not.

    • @jilcooper9619
      @jilcooper9619 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      People destabilize when they lose their primary relationship. Plus he had to relocate. I never agreed with speculation that his relationships were cover to seem ordinary; they were more important and meaningful than that. He bent over backwards to make the investigation less hard on her, for example. And his family to a lesser degree

    • @ViktoriaEvans
      @ViktoriaEvans  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @jilcooper9619 Yeah, I think he genuinely cared for her. Totally agree with you. That's in part why people like him can be so difficult to detect. They're not robots. He's got a full range of emotions, but he lacks care-based moral reasoning. The cycle of serial killing, to me, appears to be a way to regulate those emotions. Anger rises and is uncontrollable, and then it diminishes once they take their rage out on a human punching bag.
      It's the same cycle NPDs and BPDs, etc, have when they rage out and act abusively and are then able to calm down. The cycle of idolization and devaluation.
      All that being said. I'm glad he gone & it's unfortunate he was not removed from society sooner. He was a broken person.

    • @jilcooper9619
      @jilcooper9619 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think the investigators should have used that as leverage to get more information; eg, your daughter would feel better about you when she inevitably learns about you if you do the right thing now and help identify victims for their daughters and family. It was so obvious that his daughter was his greatest soft spot.
