Don’t know if you’re a “ Prepper “ because what’s going on around the world like me 😉👍. But make sure you have a plan B & C to boil water when there’s no power. Keep up the good work 👍
The great recipe looks delicious indeed. Have you considered weighing the trays prior to freeze drying then afterword to determine the exact amount of water that was removed? I assume you rehydrated with hot water. You said you have added an extra 24 hours to our dry time, so rechecking is probably not required.
I used to, but for meals I’ve gotten pretty good at knowing about how much water or Chicken Broth to add… I needed 1/4 C more than my guess for this one… because I weighed out what went into each bag, I know from this first rehydration how much to add to those.
I would love to make this but does anyone know what can be subbed for the broccoli. I can't eat that but never know what to use for a replacement. Maybe mixed veggies?

There was some liquid, and it will help the meal have the right consistency when rehydrating.

Mixed veggies, maybe cauliflower for the texture, extra Bell Peppers… asparagus or even Brussels sprouts
