Really like seeing this come together.
Maybe I'll get off my tail and start doing videos of my RallyX Skyhawk.
Hope to see more of this nice little car and what you'll do with it.
I absolutely love that formula fire bird.
Congrats for finding a Monza that hasn't rusted away 👍
Mine is perrrrfect

It's trying to!
your doing a really good job on fixing up the classic. I know its a lot of hard work and tons of money, but the monza is coming along nice.
I've been following along this series, as I dug my old 75 Monza that I had started to back half it, ladderbar, coil overs, with a 468 BBC & T400 trans. It sat for 30 yrs, at my dad's farm... Because... Marriage & kids. Well, there all grown now, so back to it.
My car, ironically was originally on the 1980 (either car craft or super chevy) magazine, I can't remember which & can't find backlogs of the magazines to tell... It was The black Monza, not the red one (shown on the cover)... With 80's style huge fender flares, and Camaro Z28 black wheels... Looks awesome with the z28's on it.. You might want to try a set.
I upgraded the entire Brake system on my Monza Towne Coupe. With everything from Wilwood.
Looking good 😎
HOTROD MONZA HERE Finally did it cool! Now a S10 rear end with 342 gears ! Take the pinion shaft to a machine shop for the S 10 and have it turned down to fit the STOCK MONZA rear put the S 10 carrier in with the AXELS they are a tad longer but do fit ! That way you retain the FACTORY 3 LINK rear in place! Go ahead and put some Square body Disc on at this time!
Why would I ever reuse a stock s10 carrier and gearset? We will either slap in used 26 spline axles on the stock carrier and 2.29’s just to drive it around with rear 5 lug and 15’s, or I’ll send the axle out for a full 4.10 with aftermarket carrier and 28 spline conversion (7.6)
It's Amazing How Similar Brakes On The MONZA Are So Much Alike To The GEO METRO And CHEVY SPRINT! (I've Had All 3 By The Way.)
Nice and needed upgrade! I really like this project.
Thank you paulie walnuts
Great video Travis! Those brakes are nice! I think the convi pros look so sick!
Car looks great with the centerline's the 13" tires look tiney .Just wait till you get a real set in the rear.
Alright trav 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😎
very good
👍👍👍
you can swap the spindles from s10 and get then get stronger and bigger brakes. You can swap to the bigger ball joints too.
rear axles s10...
I like the stock spindles more than s10 spindles. The h body spindles are smaller and fit the car better.
Spark plugs on 1 and 3 is tricky but, slide a box end from under the plug the angle matches the block perfect, maybe a 2nd wrench since its hard to get power on it, if # 3 won't come straight out you can shim the mounts then its mostly easy plug change. I lost all my h body except 1 to severe rear and front rot, 75 2+2, 79 coupe,76 hawk,79 hatch. The only one that survives is a 79 formula sunbird silver , sun roof, delay , full gauges, black int , put a 357/th350 stage2 , it could beat 90's Vettes and Camero ,132 mph full valve float , fun car , I put a fuel sending unit from a 4 cyl which is ext mechanical ,it's just a pipe, then install a carter electric pump to the exhaust baffle after you drop that oem trash can of a muffler , can you just run turn downs before the axle ? I had a larger rad had to move the battery to passenger side. Fyi my old Qaud would run dry with the oem in tank pump.
