Great information. I guess the threaded needle valve bushing was cheaper to produce than having to tap the inside of the carburetor on the production line.

Do you have or know where I can get an impeller for a 1953 montgomery ward outboard 3hp engine.

I have a 1959 10 hp Johnson. When i idle down it sputters or like a single cough and will not run at idle. Fresh plugs and gas makes no difference.
Might this be the issue i am having?
