    Thank you so much for preparing this tutorial video. There are lots to learn. So far it works smoothly. I have On1 Photoraw which used so much memory that any adjustment seemed to be impossible.

    Excellent video! I have installed the 'free' version and had a play (lot to learn!) Do you know if the PRO version is able to work on layers from RAW files?

      I have not found it to be very good with raw editing, but I can do some more research on that.

      @@BriNathanCollins thanks, that could be the deal breaker! I use an older version of lightroom which won't input my new camera's ORF files without conversion. Photoscape does but I would want to work on the ORF files.

    I realize this is a little off topic for this video but would you know how I might transfer my PhotoScape X Pro from an old computer to a new computer? I have reached out to the PhotoScape people a month or so ago and no response. I'd really not like to have to purchase it again for a new computer. Thanks

    • @BriNathanCollins
      @BriNathanCollins  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      When you buy PhotoScape X you ether buy it from the widows App Store or the Mac App Store. So if you log into your new computer and sign into the App Store, then you will be able to re-download PhotoScape X for no cost. The one problem you could run into is if you’re switching from PC to Mac or Mac to PC and then you will need to buy PhotoScape X again because those two app stores do not allow transferring of app purchases.

    When viewing a photo in full screen with Photoscape, I used to use the mouse scroll wheel to zoom in and out to get a closer look, along with the keyboard arrow keys to move the image up/down/left/right. However, the up arrow key now zooms in to the image and the down arrow key zooms out, while the left and right arrow keys no longer do anything at all. How do I reset the arrow keys back to moving the image rather than zooming?

    In the section where the down arrow is in Viewer on the RH side, Landscape and Portrait only refer to orientation and not a description of the kind of image represented. If not explained, it could be disconcerting to a new user and even old users.
    Another item -- when locating where to click to get the * rating option to show, click in one of to locations. First a bit to the Left of the last item in the top level of meta data or on the lower level of meta data, between items or anywhere on that same line across the screen to the location of the type of camera used to create the image. Also, note that there are keyboard shortcuts using Alt + Ctrl + (0 - 5).
    Just another item for anyone who might have not seen what occurs, use the Ctrl key to select the second image to be viewed for a comparison otherwise the Viewer will show consecutive images.
    I noted that sometimes was mentioned tools that actually are only available in the Pro version. It might be worth creating a text and have it in each tutorial created so that folks joining the group could then have the list in order to determine whether to purchase Pro. Maybe also mention what the current purchase price is for Pro.
    Nice video. I know you have done some individual videos but wonder if it would be a nice idea to actually take each filter and show what it does to an image and perhaps indicate why and when to use the tool.
    Just think then you will be already awake when you hear the new addition crying in the wee hours and it will happen and unless the baby decides early on that no one is coming because the parents did not hear (been there done that but many years ago-- my kids are 50 +).
    Look forward to more. I have found I need to do a few more things to the user manual/tutorial.
    Oh, related to the tutorials by the creator of the program -- without voice it is very difficult to really follow what the actual process is and why. Don't know what others think though. Hopefully more discussion can be created for this nice little program for doing image editing.

    Can PhotoScape X help me editing overexposed photos..?

    • @BriNathanCollins
      @BriNathanCollins  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes you can make some adjustments? But if the photo is over exposed to the point where there’s no detail and just solid white, then there’s not much you can do. I would recommend taking the photo into the color tab and then adjusting the sliders to see what’s possible.

      Sure, I can look into it.

    • @phlotographer
      @phlotographer 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Ashyy-jd3ry don't you wish that PSX had a history feature? Not sure it was never created for a program that has been around for quite a few years. What is difficult is that when doing an edit, it is easy to just experiment with different effects and the strength etc. plus the order done can easily be forgotten and even with a project saved it is not the best of help. If you saved the project for the image you speak of, then at least you can create another file is by chance you lost the image in a .jpg etc .format. Also, keep in mind that if the project is something that you might want to recreate in the future, do a few step and at the same time create a Wordpad document (.rtf) and then save the project (1) and then go one and after a few steps of keeping the .rtf file updated (be sure to save) and then save the project (2) and continue in this fashion until complete. Be sure to adjust the file name with the new # each time so it does not overwrite a previous file. Now you have both a text and a visual session of what you did and save all in the same folder so it is repeatable. HTH YMMV

    Appreciate the tutorial but I wish you included timestamps or at least a list of topics covered,. I'm sure theres alot of info in here that's helpful but with a vid this long I would rather not have to watch 25mins of stuff I already know just to find the other 25 mins of stuff I don't know. Hope that doesn't sound too harsh, just wanted to give some constructive feedback. Thx

  • @Darthmufin
    @Darthmufin ปีที่แล้ว

    God this program sucks. it's one of those where it has many features but they are scattered around in different tabs so you can't just work on a photo, you have to copy it to clipboard, save it, or in terms of combining photos together and erasion certain parts, using ANOTHER EDITIOR to combine them first. This is bafflingly stupid.
