Yes, including the Emerald, but I'll simplify any runs I happen to get S-Rank with my first Emerald grab into just mentioning that, as in the cases where I didn't get S-Rank due to continues, I will emphasize the emerald instead...but if I got the S-Rank...then its implicit I HAD to get the Emerald.
My first attempt went kinda smooth without continues, got an early UFO break in the second special stage attempt WITH THE TOP...and choked.
Every. Single. Continue.
I was bashing my head when that happened because that was the choke of the centruy and now I had to sit down with the cup once again- not so much of the races being that difficult, but thinking about how I missed that so hard at the very end.
...This was the second run, and as you can see, aside from a single continue in Virtual Highway because the game did a funny, I got everything else INCLUDING THE SPECIAL STAGE without continues. So...that's a surprise S-Rank.
I'll take it.
