Guys, it’s about time that’s all I can tell you this man’s voice sounds what an angel would sound like. Please do more of him especially his duet with Linda Ronstadt. They sing two great songs together that I know of great reaction guys.. and please if I may ask for more of Michael Bolton, Richard Marx, and someone you have not done yet Neil Sedeca
Aaron Neville has such a beautiful voice. This song is also great in Don Johnson's version. For people who don't know him from Miami Vice in the 80s, he is the father of actress Dakota Johnson. Tracy Chapman also has a song with the same title but it's not a cover of this one by Aaron Neville.
Back in the mid to late 1980's I worked in bicycle shops in NOLA. Aaron and his brother Charles were often customers of the shop from their old 'hood. Aaron was always a pleasure to deal with, and Charles, and his wife/girlfriend were also great people to deal with. Listen to some Neville Brothers, and The Meters/The Funky Meters and find that Nawlins Sound. The Neville family is a big part of that sound and still are with the kids continuing the tradition. Though some of the "kids" are quite old, now.
When my mother heard that he was releasing it, she said, "I want a new Christmas album and I want Aaron Neville." She never asked us for much, but by that time we were earning our own money and what Mama wanted, Mama was gonna' get. I searched and searched in the days before internet shopping. I couldn't stand the thought of it coming out and selling out before I got to it. The day that I was successful, I marched through the store holding it over my head and proclaiming victory. Mama still had it when she died three years ago.
I'm so glad you reacted to this... This song made it to #2 on the charts in 1969... I heard Aaron on a talk show saying that after that song came out things kind of slowed up for him and he had to find work to support himself... He found work as a longshoreman on the docks...He would be singing while he was working and the guys working with him told him, " Man, what are you doing here ?...you should be singing for a living with that voice "... He took their advice and the rest is history... You already know that he did beautiful duets with Linda Ronstadt but he had a few singles himself that he recorded... I'm just pulling from memory but I think 1 of the songs he had that I remember was on the wings of a I'm just pulling from memory but I think 1 of the songs he had that I remember was " On the Wings of a Nightingale "... Anyway this is a good rabbit hole to go down... Another good reaction guys... See you on the next one... Keep Being Awesome...!!!...
I was one of the people who suggested Tell it like it is by Aaron Neville I knew you two would like it. Now try. Everybody plays a fool by Aaron Neville
I had forgotten this lovely song. I do love Aaron Neville. He sings in a Cajun style that is so rarely heard in pop music. The Neville brothers are masters in that genre
Being a fellow New Orleanian, I grew up listening to Aaron Neville both solo and as a member of the group The Neville Brothers with his brothers Art, Charles, Cyril, and Ivan. Art and Cyril Neville were also in the Jazz Funk group The Funky Meters. Aaron's sister Athelgra Neville was in the group The Dixie Cups. Aaron's brother Art also has a daughter that was a Head Achor at the local TV station WVUE Fox 8. The Neville family is definitely ingrained in the New Orleans music and art culture and the remaining family members still perform locally at the Jazz and Heritage Festival, French Quarter Festival, and at a host of other local events and clubs. Jay and Amber, you should put the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival on your bucket list. It takes place every year on the last week in April and the first week in May. Between both weekends, there are over 200 acts on four different stages that span all genres of music from Rock, Jazz, Country, and Pop to Gospel, Zydeco, and Hip Hop. This year's headliner is the Rolling Stones. It is like the Disney World of music and food. It has gotten to be a little expensive through the years, but I tell everyone who loves music it is worth it to go at least once in your life. Lookup nojazzfest for the website and info.
Nice reaction, he was so big on the bar scene in the 80's. I've seen him over a doz times, sometimes in a bar with under 100 people. Wonderful memories.
Though I love this slow ballad by Aaron, I will always think of the Neville Brothers as a rocking good dance group - hearing them in person, you just have to dance to most of their songs!
Aaron Neville also released a country album in the 90’s called The Grand Tour. Two songs that album stick out, a cover of a George Jones song and the title track “The Grand Tour” and “Don’t Take Away My Heaven”. Both songs showcase his amazing vocals.
This song came out in 1966 when I was a senior in high school. We used to go to the Saturday Night Dance at the local roller rink and all the guys waited for this song to be played. Many a romance was kicked off by this song and song like it. It brings back some great memories. Take care....
This is my favorite song by Aaron!!! If you haven’t done so yet, you should check out the Original Video of “Grand Tour” by Aaron. It’s what I call Soulful Country and it’s great 👩🏻🏫👵🏻🥰‼️ Aaron has one of those unique voices that you know it’s him as soon as he starts to sing.
Great song. I am more familiar with the cover of it done by Heart because Ann Wilson absolutely kills it, especially at the end. But I love Aaron Neville's voice and I'm so glad you got back to him.
My favorite Nevile Brothers song, with a movie suggestion of the same name, "Like a Bird on a Wire". Movie is a rom-com starring Goldie Hawn and Mel Gibson. Give them both a look, you will like it!
What I found while investigating Mr. Neville's voice: *'It sounds like his voice is breaking, like he his is straddling the line between normal chest voice and falsetto.'*
First time I ever heard Aaron Neville sing was him and Trisha Yearwood covering "I fall to Pieces". To my ear, one of the most beautiful things I ever heard. Became a fan immediately..
The Neville Brothers are New Orleans legends. You'll love their song Fire on the Bayou
Used to play down at Tippatinas the Neville Brothers their sister can sing too
"Fire on the Bayou" is a song by the Meters, a different but also fantastic NO band
Or "Yellow Moon" by the Neville Brothers
@@cptight88 oh maybe I heard a cover but it was good
I've loved all their songs. I don't think I ever heard a bad song on any album by any of the Nevilles. One of my favorites is my brother, my brother
This is actually the first time I've heard Neville singing it, the first time I've heard this song was with Don Johnson (the actor)...
His and Linda’s cover of “ The First Time Ever I Saw YourFace” is otherworldly
Ty for the suggestion

Sedaka.
Ooooh, Love Neil! You Gotta Make Your Own Sunshine is my favorite HAPPY song by him.
They did last year
Neil Sedaka has been suggested many times, so hopefully they'll do one of his soon. "Bad Blood" would be a good start.
I think you might have spelled that wrong. If J & A go looking for his tunes it’s spelled Sedaka… great singer!🇨🇦❤️😊
Yeah, that's the sound of New Orleans, y'all!
If you see the live version of “Ave Maria” it will take your breath away.

His voice is an instrument ❤️
His "Ave Maria" will bring you to Heaven.
"I Ain't your little boy!" You tell 'em Aaron.
Love Aaron Neville!! No other voice like his!! Grew up in New Orleans listening to the Neville Bros… great so great!!♥️
For a dock worker, He can really melt your heart

Huge second on the Funky Meters!!
I LOVE Aaron Neville. His Christmas album is a FAMILY staple… AWESOME TALENT.
My favorite Christmas album!

Sorry guys... I'm having a little trouble with my talk and text Program
Classic soul song and a classic voice - love Aaron Neville
Ann Wilson from HEART does a masterful job singing this song. You really need to hear their cover of this song.
Came to say this!! It's sooo good!
And Freddy Fenders version is also impressive.
Definitely need to check out Heart's rendition
His throat is a woodwind instrument. Vibrates my ears like the reed in a clarinet. Aaaahhh.😊
I remember hearing this as a small child and I actually appreciated it then . Phenomenal voice!!!!
One of his best performances on this classic
Aaron did some great solo work, and he also turned out the best of New Orleans soul with his brothers.
Aron is both handsome and a wonderful singer. I remember this song when it first came out. I was in my 20's. He was gorgeous.
LOOOL ... Heart also covers this iconic song in their own unmistakable style of course.
I was one of the people who suggested Tell it like it is by Aaron Neville I knew you two would like it. Now try. Everybody plays a fool by Aaron Neville
One of the best voices in the industry. Check out the Neville Brothers.
This is a lovely song and Aaron Neville does it justice beautiful.

His voice is smooth as silk.
I had forgotten this lovely song. I do love Aaron Neville. He sings in a Cajun style that is so rarely heard in pop music. The Neville brothers are masters in that genre
The man is in a league of his own! 🎶🎼
His work at Daryl’s House (Daryl Hall’s show) is good watch and listen 🎧
Absolutely 1 of my favorite songs. You can't go wrong with Aaron
Try everybody plays the fool

His live tribute of George Jones' The Grand Tour" is masterful ❤
Aaron Neville absolutely owned this song the way it’s sung, his duet with Linda Ronstadt is a must listen . A great voice Aaron had. 😎🍺☮️

One of my favorites is, Don’t take away my heaven.
Aaron is amazing and so were all his Brothers (The Neville Brothers). One of My favorites he sings is Arianne. You should check it out.
I love this song, and I love the live version of Aaron, Bonnie Raitt and Gregg Allman performing it together. ❤
I'll have to look for that. I love finding something in the comments that I haven't heard before. Thank you.
That's my favorite version as well. Aaron and Gregg's voices together and so melodic. Same show they did a version of Midnight Rider, also amazing.
Love his voice. Unique.
🩵🩵🩵 this song, we had this song of 45 when I was a little girl, play this song constantly
Angelic voice
You should react to him with this brothers, The Neville Brothers and one of their songs, Yellow Moon or Hey Pocky Way.
The Neville Brothers New Orleans legends
Great, great song! What a wide range he has! Such a pleasure to listen to.
Saw him and his brothers open for BB. King. They are incredible.
That firstt line that reprises at the end: "If you want something to play with, go and find yourself a toy." Love it and they way he delivers it.
Arron neville song is crazy love it a perfect song
If you ever see him the man is huge, that angelic voice coming out of that man just doesn’t seem right
My favorite by Aaron. Love this song.
Soulful singer
This song came out in 1966 when I was a senior in high school. We used to go to the Saturday Night Dance at the local roller rink and all the guys waited for this song to be played. Many a romance was kicked off by this song and song like it. It brings back some great memories. Take care....
Aaron Neville is in my man's Top 3 . He has seen his brothers a few times. I love them, too❤
Great song, great singer. Ann Wilson and Heart also do a fine version of this classic...❤

Aaron's voice is exquisite! There's never been snother Aaron Neville style voice. He is a one of s kind. Sensational!
Listen to Aaron singing the title cut off of the "Yellow Moon" album, spectacular.
Love love that song!
He has a very unique vocal sound and delivery. This one brought him to national fame.
The style of his singing is based on a Cajun style - I forget what it's called. It makes his vocals unmistakable and very unique.
Aaron with the Neville Brothers has some really good songs.
GREAT REMAKE OF CLASSIC TUNE!!!❤❤❤❤❤
That song worthy of slow dancing in the bedroom.😁😉 God I love that voice. It's like Barry White but 3 octaves higher.
Two of his that are my favorites: Don’t Take Away My Heaven, and Can’t Stop My Heart From Loving You.
Aaron Neville = my teenage years! Love, love, love! And, yes, he has more wonderful songs!
Aww! I love Aaron Neville! He was a favorite of daddy’s too. My dad passed away almost two years ago. I can’t decide to smile or cry. 🥹
Aaron Neville along with his brothers are New Orleans Royalty. Never get tired of this song.
I think was Aaron Neville's first hit record and everyone loved slow dancin' to this tune.
For those of you who don't know Aaron Neville had a very good hit song in '95 titled "Cant Stop My Heart From Loving You."
One of the most unique voices in all of music
