Dave's best time is .2 seconds off the sessions best, and multiple seconds better than my best- "man I'm miles off the pace". No man you were flying. Incredible race very fun to watch.

@Ready Player Dad i love Daves videos but not a fan of smerth accounts. Dave is probably a 5k SOF but on this acc his is lower so gets into races with people around 3k and 2k difference makes such a difference. I just dont think its fair on the other drivers knowing someone with 5k SOF is overtaking you so easy because he isnt even your level. In call of duty they call is VPNing to break match making.
Not hating on the contrary but just making a point when your comment was about him carving through the field.

You got the 2x because after the 0x the other guy lost control so it got assessed to you too.
I had the same thing happen once except with a 4x. I had a 0x for side to side contact. A few seconds later he got rammed from behind and that gave me a 4x. Took me a few minutes of running through the replay to figure out how the hell I got a 4x.
iRacing is pretty dumb when it comes to car contact. ACC is much better in this regard (although I only iRacing now).
@@MendicantBias1 My only issue with ACC is that, even though people hate iRacing netcode, ACC's is probably worse. And also, the physics don't let you run side by side that much in ACC, because a small tap can make the other car lose it. In iRacing, that's not an issue

I'm really looking into pedals now as I have realized it is the best equipment to have for iRacing, for sure. to fight w the top guys. Daaaaave after watching hours and hours of your vids, heavy mileage in 458 GT2 488 GT3 in AC/ACC I took the iracing plunge. I want to drive with you in VRS Sprint GT3 one day. Won my first race and podium next 2. Got my D license. Gonna practice offline with my 488GT3 NON Evo and buying redbull ring and have Laguna, for the next two rounds in FIxed Challenge. You've helped me out so much man and I understand your type of racer. All speed merit and survival.

Wow a 15.8. That's crazy pace. In the BMW I only managed an 18 flat. Maybe I should try a mid engined GT3
I thought Spa had bugs that needed fixing. Some areas that you get an off track are way over the top. Great drive Mac
I really hope the pedal cam becomes a fixture of the channel regardless of what pedals you're running. I watch every second of every race on the channel and always hoped you'd add a pedal cam. Just add telemetry on POV videos and I'll be a happy man..

Spa is a safety rating killer for me. The track limits at certain places on circuit seem overly strict, and I just collect 1x's like it's my job.

4:52 If you get a 0x and the other person you got the 0x from looses his car within the time the 0x is still visible on your screen, you'll get his 2x aswell. Same goes for offtracks, if he would have just gone offtrack before your 0x disappeared you would have gotten a 1x aswell.

Hi Dave, just set up my Invictas last night I wear trainers with them but I’m finding the backs of my trainers keep getting stuck on the baseplate 🤔 did you have any of this or could it maybe be how I have them set up.

How are you liking the SImicube wheelbase compared to the Fanatec DD1? I don't think i'll be changing my DD1 anytime soon ($$$$), just curious if you feel it's any better.
Those invisible cars are always crashing in the chicane every race i'm in at Spa.
Lol I know how you feel with the off pace thing been struggling with that since the update, not sure what is going on. I’ve had a few fliers right up there with the top times and then just loose the pace again.
Also love the this is all about safety rating. Last lap, ok let’s take 2 penalties to fight for the position haha. How easy that happens when you get into the battles

How are the Asetek pedals?
I'm wondering, do you feel that gas and brake pedals are too close on this pedalset? As i understand there are no options of moving the pedals wider. Is it comfortable though?
I dont use this pedal set, but I have mine setup in a very similar position (about 4inches apart) . Im a pretty large person and it feels comfortable
This is my issue with them, i wouldn't be able to use the clutch i like my brake pedal level with my left leg

Do you have your pedals angled on your rig or flat? Having a bit of an issue where I noticed my left heel is sliding with braking application (V3’s). Put some grip tape on the baseplate and still having the issue. I currently have them at an angle.
I have them flat. I always run my baseplate flat and my pedals vertical 👍

I am sure you've mentioned this in the past, but who makes your gloves for you? also, have you historically had any issue in any glove with paddle shifters wearing holes in the gloves finger(s) tips of whatever finger(s) you use to shift with? Because i have a pair of gloves that haven't seen that many hours of racing and even less hours of racing in cars that use paddles and not H pattern or a bump sequential and i've already worn through the first layer of fabric. Maybe they're cheap gloves or maybe the G29 paddles have sharp edges that have cut the fibers. Glove recommendations?

The lower your SR the more you gain. The higher, the more you lose 😁
Which Gloves can you Guys recommend?
I use gloved by IMB Racewear. Had them for months and they're great 👍

I had 6 1xs and lost 0.20 SR. I really hate how SR works. Not sure how to make it better, but it drives me nuts.
Those pedals look pretty awesome. But I'm pretty sure you need to look after them a lot more than you need with regular loadcell, don't you?
It's a sealed unit so shouldn't need any maintenance at all

Edit the iRacing ini file showJoinLeave=1 and change it to 0 (zero). This will stop the messages about other drivers connecting or disconnecting from the race.

GT3 at Spa has been death for me this week, even high splits driving like it's rookies
Wish a high end company would make pedals for consoles. Yes the V3 from Fanatec but that's about it. I'm surprised more companies aren't doing it with the millions of consoles on the market and more and more reat sims like ACC on xbox and Ps.

I always enjoy Dave's video's but, 2.16 is fast yet he is so off. Really Dave? Well maybe against people with a 5K rating. I'm not a fan of his smurf account he is not racing against people with the same competitive talent in most cases. I understand the concept and will always support the channel. I really enjoyed watching with a different wheel base and pedals. Thumbs up not bashing Dave just making a comment.

@@WillHampson I'm saying his normal account he is 4.9 or 5K.I was not making an augment just stating that guys @ 3K are not the same level. As for top split this is the 3rd one down. May at times it's the top split.I love Dave's videos just pointing one thing I didn't like 100 percent. It's not a deal breaker just the way I feel.Please next time read the full post and do the research 2K difference is a lot.
