When melo doesn’t have bigs to guard for him and is double teamed the score board guna look bad beside hitting 50. Got to put in context. Melo with a full 2way squad it would be diff story. I think we should use curry as guard instead of mimic. Get him shooting more with screens. That would help out I know he can shoot. Coach needs to try diff combination. To comes with trying to steal the ball and force to in fav of charlotte he’s doing a good job melo
@ 🧢 his first time shooting over 30 shots was tonight. When the team depends on him handle/ make every play that’s going to happen. Who else should you want shooting those shots with no miles bridges and tre mann.
Sometimes it seems like he's coaching from an analytics sheet instead of the "feel" of the game. Especially his subs. Maybe it's because the roster is limited--or maybe that's the key to consistency. We'll see.
Lees' body language is full of hate that Melo is the engine. He went from smiling confidently with open arms to crossing his arms. His whole demeanor changed. And the first thing he says is about the whole team as a collective. Coach a hater or he don't know what he doing. I wondered why miller got more minutes than melo.
Or or… this shows that the benching was a good move and was a teaching moment cause I saw melo pull off when he was about to make the same dumb fouls this game
Can't speak for Lee, but I think he's always trying to underscore the 'group' mentality. But WE KNOW that if he doesn't really praise the one that's putting in the MAX effort ... he'll only have himself to blame if that player no longer feels the Hornets is his best fit.
