    People have no idea how much prep goes into it. If you don’t like prep, forget about it! 90 percent prep and 10 percent painting haha. Great job!

      @lisalally 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +10

      I’m one of the people that love the cleaning(once there no bugs🫣), scraping, filling and sanding. Then I totally loose interest! I recently began to think thats because I can’t go wrong with the prepping side of things, but could totally make the wrong choice on the decorating side of things, so then I procrastinate for wayyyy to long. 😂😂😂

      @@lisalally painting or varnishing can be a real pain, you can mess all your efforts of prepping just because of one drip that you didn't see before it dried 😤

      This is great inspiration for me! I usually like working on one piece at a time; I’m not a great multi-tasked when it comes to furniture flipping. But I’ve obligated myself to get 3 pieces done in a week. Eek! I will push on with your inspiration! 🫨

    Hi Abby. As a new viewer, I was so impressed with each set that you refinished, absolutely beautiful.
    However, I think I was more impressed by your drive, patience and your attention to detail. To do all that you did to finish each set was amazing....and without any help. Just so impressed by you, young lady!!😊

    I was surprised how much I liked ones that didn’t match but were, as you put it, fraternal twins. MUCH more interesting than a matched set, and nobody sees them side by side anyway except for in your glamour shots. I usually go for bright white, but was also surprised to realize how much I liked your creamy color. Well done, you’ve got skills!

    Personally, as a potential customer, I would have preferred the original different designs of the nightstands. As long as they are finished with the same color, they make a quirky and fun pairing. They don’t even have to be the same height, as when placed, they will never side by side. I recommend try finishing a unmatched pair and see how it sells. If it sells, you will save yourself so much time and work!

    I've learned a lot from your assembly line experiment. It was well thought out, and I'm so happy you persevered when it seemed overwhelming. I'm enjoying your channel, and yes, the new lamps are an improvement! Curious is you will let us know next video if you would do anything differently, and how the sales worked out. You compressed a huge amount of projects into a short time frame, so it should be profitable.

    Set 2- the one had a beautiful wood grsin pattern and you covered it up with paint.

    • @RisaMoreno
      @RisaMoreno 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Agreed...it breaks my heart when somebody covers up gorgeous veneer work with just...paint. I wish she'd used a stain that would've shown the veneer instead. The trend of flat paint over wood grain these days boggles me. It's like people putting carpet or linoleum over hardwood flooring. When it's done over something boring, then it makes sense, but this? Oh well. Maybe someday another furniture reviver will strip the paint away for a beautiful surprise!

    Watching from Spain.. pleasure to watch some interesting content. I am a retired engineer. Good for you having a go, one thing to pass on, when drilling pocket holes, you keep the drill running the same way when withdrawing the drill, I see you switch it into reverse…No need to do this 👍

    I saw another comment suggesting you put up a workbench to bring the items up to the proper height for working. I 2nd that motion. Also see if you can plan and organize the work and materials where you don’t have to bend over or move around as much. This is backbreaking work. You are young now, but adult bodies start breaking down quick. Also hope you pay regular visits to a good chiropractor to reduce pain and damage.

    I have so many thoughts, as a woodworker, and as a restorer of things. I love your attitude, and I think you are doing some serois learning. The only thing I can think of is some better tools for ripping things apart, and maybe some dust collection. But this is a fantastic demonstration of how little you really need to produce results. Cannot wait to see more and wach you learn as you create.

    Hello on set 5 you have some of the feet upside down, normally the smaller side goes down and one piece you have one of each in front. Also some plastic buttons .05 on the bottom of all your legs and bases would keep them from maring any wood floors of your customers. A nice cheap plus to point out.
