It is Legacy Station who requested the production of the tank car. Both MTH and Lionel have made custom items for both sides in this election cycle.

@@davevan8864 they’ll mess up the paint/lettering up like they do with all their other locos. The tank cars look great though. 5 minutes of prototype research would work wonders with their product line.
For some reason there's some other O scale sets from Menards that are in store but not online it's CNW or Milwaukee FP7 a hopper and a gondola an oval of track and remote
I have seen photos of these, but they are not in all stores and not online. It seems that some locations have stocked them ahead of their official release.

I understand people are on a budget nowadays and the affordability of Menards is quite appealing. I went out and bought a Menards car a little bit ago just to see what they're all about and I found it to be pretty cheap. A big fan of the colors. It's an okay roller.
My biggest problem with Menards is it's all semi-scale post-war size. It is very rare that i buy any semi scale items. Full 1:48 or not at all
Problem with scale equipment is it requires larger curves and thus larger real-estate to house a layout, as well as a larger pricetag.
Most don't tend to mind semi-scale equipment as it can run on smaller layouts with tighter curves, and tends to be more durable as most of the detail is moulded in instead of being fragile add-on parts. The lower pricetag certainly is appreciated!
Semi-scale is the classic O gauge train, not going anywhere anytime soon.
Menards boxcars are full scale 40' boxcars. The quad hoppers are scale N&W cement hoppers. The FP7s are scale dimensions.
It's hard to run full scale equipment on a 4 x 8 layout, which is by far the most common layout size in the US.
@@ToyTrainTipsAndTricks I got a 15x8 layout. 3 loops. I can run anything. I only live in an apartment but being single allows me to have the entire living dedicated to a layout. O-54 min curve on the whole layout
I understand that space is a premium for many but for my situation if I was worried about that I would switch to HO scale. I considered that option often but just cant overcome the wiring and more track intensive work needed to prevent derailments.
O scale is fine, I'm just a full scale guy. If it's weathered right and has the right lighting, O scale can look as good as or better that HO.

@@Shipwright1918 yes its classic size but very early on when I found out O scale has 2 sizes I just made up my mind that If I'm going to buy it, may as well get my moneys worth and go big
Random idea for people who want to do 3 foot narrow gauge in O scale. I’ve been converting some shorter O-27 freight cars to have American Flyer S gauge trucks, it’s a very effective look, and fairly cheap. I have a guy fairly local to me who sells old AF stock at $5 a car and it’s roughly $10 for smaller O-27 cars, so it’s just $15 minimum for materials and all that’s left is to swap the trucks. Unfortunately though, locomotives may have to be scratch built.
You NEED to check out the Industrial Rail "O Gauge" cabooses and covered hopper cars. They look darned close to S Scale.

@@ChristopherDennie-tc5jt before Atlas took over. The IR line included a Santa Fe style caboose and a covered hopper car similar to Lionel’s that were close to if not exactly S scale.

I have heard rumors of other Menards sets for this season, but nothing official has yet been announced.
@@ToyTrainTipsAndTricksin store they have a cnw and Milwaukee road freight set with a 36” x 54” loop of track. They aren’t online to the best of my knowledge. I bought both today since I was already there to buy the new buildings!

I have considered this position. However, I feel that the role of this particular video series is to provide information about available products. I don't think it is therefore appropriate for me to censor the available information based on my personal preferences or the potential reaction of others. There are many products that I would not support personally due to my personal feelings about a particular company or product that is advertised on the rolling stock, but I have nevertheless included those products in these video announcements for the benefit of those who are interested. Furthermore, to refrain from mentioning products that are "political" is somewhat difficult in our current day and age when everything has been politicized. Should I refrain from advertising products promoting Budweiser, Disney, Coke, Pepsi, and others because someone may find them offensive? I choose to air on the side of information. And, yes, I have provided information about Biden/Harris products when available, so I am not choosing sides - just providing information.
@@ToyTrainTipsAndTricks I just have a loathing towards political liveried products, they tend to bring out the worst sort of people. Used to work in retail and had to deal with said political liveried products and the worst sort of people.
