if you drill smaller holes you could fill the jar with large size bone charcoal around the sponge for added water purity. otherwise line it with plastic window screen or thin sponge sheeting (used for ''filter wrap'') cut to size to contain finer grades of carbon.
what a wonderful idea.. thank mate..i have a plenty aerator like this.. but long time i haven't used them.. now i have an idea ..thank mate.. have a lovely day..
maybe u could even take out the sponge and use ceramic hydroponic beads and a sponge on top to make sure it keeps the beads in place. this is giving lots of ideas. thank you. i think those sponges aren't great
The flow from the air bubbles going up n sucking the water through the sponge is so gentle it doesn't stop the sponge from doing it's job as long as the sponge is not touching the sides of the container inside. The container's job is to trap the dirt so when u take it out to clean the sponge it holds most of the dirt from falling off the sponge back into the water. Thank you so much for ur comment.
More waste of time and resource is it nor is it benefit it ? The main thing is for the sponge to obsorb as much dirt into it and by covering it just by couple of holes make it worse !
not really the dirt is in the water going through the holes and the main objective of a sponge filter is to carry the beneficial bacteria to keep the water balanced more than anything else

Thank you for the tips

Whats the purpose of the jar?
También es m duda?
To trap all the particles that may come off when you take it out to clean it
trap the dirt
Dont you think it will absorb less dirt particles then before just becoz of the holes? Its like decreasing the dirt absorbing surface area. @@AOAvina

thank you Faizan
Immediate thought is that this will reduce efficiency due to restricting water flow around the sponge? 🤔

Any benefits of this after pls tell
yes when you remove it to clean it doesn't get the tank water messy.
What's with the jellyfish? Is that a tv at the back?
Yes I use a flat panel TV as a background for all my tanks. This a sample for a 10 gallon tank th-cam.com/video/97FpMOPWLyI/w-d-xo.html
You can add k1 moving bed on the top
I modified the design I will upload it soon
Toples apa di pakek bos
I don't know what that means but thank you anyway
Y lo que va puesto en la manguera que va?
Thank you very much
Pas banget
thank you
i will try it
U will be very surprised n happy 😊
shrimps dont like it this way...
Okay Alex let me do some research and see if I can come up with something to make the shrimp happy
How much to the filter
The filter was $6 and the canister $1
What is price of your sponge filter
u can buy the filter at petsmart for about $10 and can pick up the container at most 99c stores, just follow the video instructions 😁
waste of time, just let the sponge do the thing.
💀🤓
it is doing it's thing without getting the tank dirty
Great idea 🔥👍
Thank you ASMR
I tried this, but i didn't see any result
It does but it's takes time. I did revise the design I will upload it soon
So if there is revision it means ? ? ?
This was better??? Wtf!!!
thank you
Why 🤷🏼?!?!
It keeps the dirt trapped inside so when u remove to clean the sponge, the tank water doesn't get messy. Thank you for ur comment.
kuch new krte tu bhtar hota
Thank you 😁
what does that even do
It does the same thing but when u take it out to clean the sponge it keeps the crap on the sponge from messing up the water by keeping the crap inside
@@aquariumheaven Just put the sponge in a jar before you lift it up.
