When cleaning this what do you do with the dirt in the acryllic media?

like do you rinse out the media or leave it be?

Just rinse it, that will keep the bacteria in both the sponge and the media. thanks for asking

I Haven't tried it on sand, thank you for your question. I will try that and make a video.

But in actual video there is no bottom stand of filter in bottle, but in making video you put the whole sponge filter with its bottom stand, so pls clear thing this is confusing.
