I commend her for pushing through her illness to get out there on stage but I hope Aretha will stay away from performing until her health is really back on track. I do think she is listening to her body and her doctors more and I think she has made the right decision about retiring from touring soon. Whenever she`s up to it, she can still do a concert every now and then . She can certainly still record right where she lives. ...She`s a treasure !
I know that this has been years since your post and a few or more years since Aretha transitioned, but I kind of think that performing/singing is what kept her going for so long because that is what brought her joy. I believe that the joy was good for her and kept her going for as long as she could before cancer got the most from of her.
So far I have heard she won't be performing at all in September. She looks tired to me. This concert was vocally better than the one in Cincinnati. Still not one of her best. But good in my opinion
Is there any news about how she's feeling now (Nov 2016)? I haven't heard anything since the cancellations. I've seen other clips from this concert and I thought she looked tired. I sure hope she is getting better and stronger. Thanks for posting this.

No concerts for the month of November. One report said she be in Chicago Dec. 17
