21 S1000rr Heat Wrap Airbox Mod

Airbox mod for those who are interested. Much more time and energy then the GSXR. Enjoy as I have footage after all of the mods during testing and of course, the race day vs a 21 zx10r.

I would also wrap your air intake that connects to the airbox. The front of ram air intake can be left alone tho

Yes i typically add whatever extra i have left over depending. It really depends on how much of a race bike im building honestly. Thanks for your comment

I dont agree its not worth the time and money to do this. I dont understand how heat can reflect if its not in direct contact with light. It to me sounds like it would just make the air hotter. Unlike a heatsink it has not way to dissipate heat and if it does its so tiny that it cant really be measured.

The tape is said to deflect the heat coming off the motor as most airboxes sit on top of the motor per se. Colder the air the more denser the more power. Of course this mod with others assist with extracting as much power as you can. Additionally its more about consistency then anything. Especially when fuel and air is hot. In theory it works. Not including many racers use this method as well. All my bikes make pretty good power but again its not just 1 mod but many compiled into the overall. Also its not expensive. I have mods on some of my bike builds that cost a bike hahaha thanks for watching and man sub and like if u can. :)
