Learn the Easy Way of Drafting Basic Skirt Pattern

This basic skirt features a proportionate hip that creates a smooth flattering curve from the side seam to the hip, that would be slightly more pronounced when the darts are closed.
Never fear, skirt is the easiest thing to start patternmaking with.
To start with, you need three body measurements:
Skirt Length ÷ 4 + 1/2"
Waist ÷ 4 + 1"
Hip Measurement ÷ 4 + 1"

Hi! It's ok with me answering your queries, I'm very much willing to help....You could add 1" on the hips but on the waistline, if you add 1", it might become loose, since you are making 1/4 pattern. You could use this: waist measurement ÷ 4 plus 1". I hope it helped! Thank you!
