The best video for 958 owners! You are right, none of the other videos even mention disabling the air suspension

Thank GOD someone with a Turbo 958 actually made a DIY on the brakes! I also have a 2011 Turbo and just finally was even able to find a decent price and availability on the hard-to-find, expensive and HUGE front 390mm rotors lol! Great video, love starting off letting everyone know about putting the air suspension into jack mode and going over your tools. I was following guides on non Turbo models when I was buying the parts and tools I needed, and I think I bought some of the wrong stuff since I thought we needed a 14mm triple square, but those were the non-Turbo models... and none of the other videos or DIY write up guides online talk about bleeding the brakes with new fluid at the end. Sigh.

Great job and thanks for spending so much effort in detailed explanation. My last step would be checking the brake fluid reservoir!

That was a great video. Very helpful. Made my 958.2 TT brake swap a breeze!
Two comments: You need to invest in a pair of caliper assembly pins! I got mine on FCSEuro and it made supporting and aligning the calipers sooo much easier.
Also, for those who don’t have wheel studs, a wheel hangar bolt serves the same purpose when mounting a rotor as it does mounting wheels.

Thank you. Genuinely really helpful. Doing my front pads tomorrow/today now. Not sure I have the t60 bit though so no doubt will need to buy one. Not come across ‘triple square’ bits before. It’s a 2013 UK spec car I’m doing so not sure which I’ll need.

+@ArrowheadGarage I don’t remember but they were not inexpensive 😂

Can you provide an update on the set of rotors/brake pads? Would like to know the results re: brake dust, squeaking, and any difference in bringing the CTT to a complete stop.

+@ohlordhavemercyonme Sure! No squeaking at all, low brake dust, and great bite when stopping! Absolutely no complaints or problems.

360s or 390s? I have 2011 turbo as well, getting ready to change the breaks.

Ooo what kind of head unit / screen setup are you using? Any DIY writeups on that?!

+@elcolin_ I love the head unit, but don’t know anything about it because it came like that when I bought it. I’ll research it one day and make a video about it I’m sure.

Why do you have wheel studs on a Cayenne? I have them on my track car, but not sure what the benefit would be for a SUV.

+@Mellowbiker same as a track car… makes wheel removal and replacement easier.

Your brakediscs are 390mm, not 360mm.
But Thanks for the super cool video

+@scotten34 yeah I think I slipped and said 360 once but the correct 390 other times. Thanks for the correction

I think it's much better if you can clean the calibers as well so that you can avoid squeals of brakes.

+@petersli8343 I can update you and let you know the brakes are working great with no noise at all 😁

I was going to order shw rotors for my gts but left rotor is out of stock in every store I looked. Also zimmerman are out of stock. What a shame that not many aftermarket companies make 390mm rotors for cayenne’s

+@kerkoroff ah bummer! I assume you checked the link in the description for ECS Tuning?
