Wow! I haven't watched a Purdue pregame online since 2010, and holy cow there is a lot of changes to the show. Ross-Aid looks so much better now, and modern too. The formations on the gridiron are still great after all these years, including the addition of the Bass Drum and modern "Block P" set. Missed the old arrangement for the floating downfield Train though, but other than that that's about it. Oh and by the way, the band looks great in 4K. I'm no longer watching a video that was filmed with a potato if you you know what I mean ;)
Looks like they did! That's awesome! Also played snare in the AAMB and it was a snare solo when I was there. Fun pregame memory I have: We were running morning rehearsal for a show, band day maybe, anyway when they pointed at the snares to start the roll for the national anthem, we started a ridiculous, over-the-top open long roll, full height diddles and it was CLEAN! Then the director looked at us and was just like "Snares..." in an exasperated voice, we went back to the standard buzz roll sharpish! Had a great time in band at Purdue! 😆
They changed it to be the entire snare line right before this game. The directors didn’t like how the solo snare sound always got lost and were experimenting with how it would sound if all the snares played it
