Great video, Simon! You make it look so easy. I think I like the first one because it’s a cool way to have a stunning card that is flat and easily mailed. Thanks for sharing! 🥰
I am just beginning to play with a gel press so it's fun to see what you are doing! Love all three cards, but my favorite is the first. I love the contrast of the vivid background and the sentiment on the white masked area.
I like them all but my favorite is the moth that you inked up the backside to stamp over the embossed image of the front & then sponged in some highlights. I enjoyed your bold use of color today.
I like the last one, because the smaller press is easier to manipulate. I also like that these are fewer layers, less pieces of paper to mess with, and minimizing the lost materials of 5 layer cards.
Ok, so I’m ready to switch out all my old Stampin’ Up inks and get something fresh. I like using the same brand because I don’t repeat the same colors. If I were to purchase my first 20 of your inks, which would you recommend? Your colors look so rich. I think more Spring and Summer colors...lemon yellow, the typical with some fun beach colors. Turquoise’s and aquas are my favorites.
@@simon.hurley Thank you Simon for your quick response! I enjoy your videos. They are always unique, clear and concise, chock full of valuable ideas and techniques!
Thanks! Loved both! Especially liked the suggestion to clear emboss the detailed part of the stamp, then flipping & using the smooth side for water coloring. Genius!
These are really nice Simon-!yet I do have one complaint-LOL- all that wonderful ink you rolled off on that paper towel bs another piece of card stock- Now I know you know that was a future card- GREAT VIDEO‼️
Omg! That gel print is so pretty. I love that you’re not afraid of purple. You know CZ. Is afraid of purple. I’m sure something traumatized her as a child. Maybe a boy she didn’t like wore purple when he asked her to the prom. Hahaha!

The first one was my favorite.
I am just beginning to play with a gel press so it's fun to see what you are doing! Love all three cards, but my favorite is the first. I love the contrast of the vivid background and the sentiment on the white masked area.

These cards are AMAZING Simon!!!🥰🤩 I think maybe the group of moths were my favorite but they were all beautiful! Tfs
My star goes to the Magnificent Moth card. I love that idea of using the back of the stamp over the stamped design.
I like them all but my favorite is the moth that you inked up the backside to stamp over the embossed image of the front & then sponged in some highlights. I enjoyed your bold use of color today.
Love the. Water collar paint. ,t
I love how quick and easy the masking paper makes these techniques! I loved all of the cards!
I like the last one, because the smaller press is easier to manipulate. I also like that these are fewer layers, less pieces of paper to mess with, and minimizing the lost materials of 5 layer cards.
So amazing! I ❤️ watching your channel. Thanks for doing what you do Simon.
Awww... thank you for the shout out!
Thank YOU for the smiles you bring to my face.
Flipping the stamp over to create a shadow print. BRILLIANT!
Thanks for the demo of the new technique! So many good ideas! Love your dinosaur shirt too!
Simon how can I choose a favorite when I love all of these gorgeous cards you created. Thank you for some new technique ideas as well.
I am NOT a fan of moths but I do love the colorful backgrounds and the round gel plate is a fantastic option ! TFS.
Loved the stencil card. All of them are awesome. You helped me learn more on my gel press. Come back soon.
Flipping the stamp in the MISTI is a genius idea!
Simon where can we get the sticky grid mat? I’m go glad you are showing uses for the gel press.. Gorgeous cards.
Here are the sticky grid mats: amzn.to/3xsXHuo they are 12”x12” but I cut them down to fit using my guillotine paper trimmer. :)
I used a cricut mat I found on sale and cut it down but I like got the may for $5
Very cool use of the reinker and gel press.
Ok, so I’m ready to switch out all my old Stampin’ Up inks and get something fresh. I like using the same brand because I don’t repeat the same colors. I’m not able to choose! The techniques are great and the moths are radiant! I bet Melanie M is the designer!?!
Both beautiful, but the first one is my fav :)
I love all of the cards. Such a great idea to use reinkers on the gel press. I have really gotten into using that lately.
I love all your ideas! I'm interested in the stamping tool you used to get a clear image while using the Misti. Where can I purchase this tool?
Sorry! I forgot to link the tool... here it is: www.etsy.com/listing/947056425/debby-for-medium-hands :)
@@simon.hurley Thank you very much! Have a great week.

@@simon.hurley Thank you Simon for your quick response! I enjoy your videos. They are always unique, clear and concise, chock full of valuable ideas and techniques!
I cant pick a favorite. They are all super!
Love them all but my fav is the first one. I finally purchased a gel press. Haven't tried it yet, lol. I love the resist!
I super love your axolotl shirt and the cards are great too!
Thanks! Loved both! Especially liked the suggestion to clear emboss the detailed part of the stamp, then flipping & using the smooth side for water coloring. Genius!
Thanks Susan! I love that tip for symmetrical images. Works so well to color. :)
These are really nice Simon-!yet I do have one complaint-LOL- all that wonderful ink you rolled off on that paper towel bs another piece of card stock- Now I know you know that was a future card- GREAT VIDEO‼️
Hahaha agreed! You can use all of the excess ink to create more cards. :)
What the crystal tool you use on your misti?
GAH! Do not wipe off onto a paper towel! Use a piece of cardstock so you get a 2 for 1! Awesome paper for another project. Great video, thanks!
What was the name of the stamping tool you used to help with pressure? Sorry, I rewound it three times, and I still didn't get it! Thank you!

@@simon.hurley Thank you so much! I appreciate the response!
really beautiful. But one has to be rich to do that!!!!
Hi,
I tried to make gel print background with oxide ink pads. The background did not come out crisp and nice :(
👍
Omg! That gel print is so pretty. I love that you’re not afraid of purple. You know CZ. Is afraid of purple. I’m sure something traumatized her as a child. Maybe a boy she didn’t like wore purple when he asked her to the prom. Hahaha!
Why does he never say "Dudes and Dudettes" anymore? 🥺
Stunning!
