I recall Aisha Yesufu blaming the Yorubas for Peter Obi's loss, accusing them of tribalism. But what happened in your own state? It’s clear that the Edos, despite their supposed love for Peter Obi, didn’t change the outcome either. Our issues are straightforward:
    1. Our electoral system is flawed.
    2. Many voters are too poor and easily manipulated, and they lack the necessary information to make informed choices.
    3. Our politicians will go to any lengths to gain power.
    Solutions:
    1. We need electoral reforms. I suggest an open ballot system, as it is cost-effective and harder to rig.
    2. Educate our people in their local dialects so they understand the challenges they face.

    • @Phoenixevolve

@@Phoenixevolve Whether or not the Labour Party fielded the right candidate isn't the main issue. The real problem is that, given the current economic situation, it should have significantly impacted the election results. Hunger and hardship should have driven people to vote overwhelmingly against the APC, yet the party still won. If we don't come up with solutions soon, we’re going to find ourselves in a serious crisis given the political situation we're facing.

It's satisfying to see Obaseki facing challenges; he should truly reflect on his actions, especially after his propaganda against the Labour Party. He employed similar tactics during the local government elections, allegedly manipulating the process. Power is never permanent, and while the Labour Party might not have emerged victorious, I'm glad to see the PDP out of the picture-both they and the APC have become far too desperate. As the saying goes, "Whoever throws a stone will have it fall back on their own head."
As we approach the 2027 elections, it's crucial to address the role of Mahmood Yakubu. If no action is taken, we risk witnessing another situation where INEC might allegedly rig the election in favor of the APC, with little consequence beyond a court battle and a brief period of protests.

Aisha, I love you so much on the basis of your outstanding fight against injustice in Nigeria.
Looking at the Edo state election of 21st instant, both parties might have bribed the electorates, but the collation process by the INEC was a big fraud, you saw this and everyone saw same.
The idea of you condemning Gov. Obaseki is not ideal. Gov. Obaseki gave his then Deputy gov, Shuaibu the utmost powers than every other deputy in Nigeria which brings Shuaibu to a more popular person in Nigeria compare to other deputy governors.
Shuaibu was obviously at a longer head with his principal which shouldn’t be, but this is not to suggest that Gov. Obaseki was fare in all his dispositions.
In your view, are you impressed by the role of the INEC?
It’s not a question of Shuaibu being for or against PDP, it’s obvious that PDP won but INEC played their usual biased roles.
