Those who betrayed Edo people should publicly acknowledge their actions and apologize to the people of Edo. Because the election was rigged and stolen by APC members through interference with the election process. Including capitalizing on the economic vulnerabilities of the people of Edo State. And indeed, an economic mess that was created by APC leadership. The people of Edo could not critically process their decisions and the long term negative consequences of their actions. Because of their immediate needs and which is a passing faint of desire. In fact, they became gullible to monetary and commodity enticement. Certainly, actions that are contrary to democratic norms, which are often considered as detrimental to the advancement of democracy in the country. The question is, what is the purpose of having an umpire such as INEC? Because INEC has become a rubber stamp for APC. This is very problematic for democracy. With due respect to the professors on this program, one of the problem Nigeria has with its electoral system is that they believe professor have to be tied to the running INEC, election administration on elections day even when these professors in lecturers in areas that are not associated with politics or elections management. At the end when they do not perform well they get insulted by even some of their students current and in the past. I think professors in Nigeria should stay away from conducting elections or accepting offers as INEC Chairperson.
