For some reason yesterday I decided to play Tony Hawk's Underground for the first time since I was in like, grade 3, and this song started playing. I was like, "Damn, I remember I liked this song." So I pressed the start button knowing that it'd tell me the song and the artist, and holy shit, it was In Flames. I was literally shitting myself when I saw that it was In Flames.
What the hell do you guys mean *Old In Flames*?? Maybe they don't sound like they used to but they still sound like In Flames! It would suck if they made all the new songs sound just like the old ones. No matter what they make i know it will sound like in flames! And by the way In Flames are the best!
@LsDButtHead I didn't know that before. Thanks for the info! Also this is for anyone. The Jesterhead website has been down for me for several days. I remember Neil saying he was going to do maintenance, but this is a little ridiculous if that's what it is.
@LsDButtHead Stanne wrote that one? I know the Jester Race is the first one that Anders is on. [ Initiate Sarcasm Below ] Stanne wrote all the guitars, bass, vocals, drums, and keyboards? I knew he was good but damn thats awesome!
@snapphane11 Yes I agree totaly! And to you who say "I want the old in flames" SHUT UP listen to ther old albums one million times and let they do they do the music they want! (and please give the new album a chanse, it's good!)
I think he needs a meatier distortion if i am honest. I have the "MXR M-181 Bass Blowtorch" and i think it would be a brilliant purchase for him. The tone is so beefy, it sends a giant fist out the speaker which beats you up, takes your money, and makes you enjoy it as well XD.
In Flames don't do bad music, it's not their thing ;) nothing of their work is bad. Some might be a lot better than some other songs for example, bu that doesn't make the rest bad. I'll always love In Flames, and they haven't fucking sold out!! xD
true, but only for the weak was a sign of things to come in my eyes. you are right there were some good tracks, i was listening to it in my car on the way to work yesterday. was solid
Man they were such fucking Gods. To be able to make masterpieces like this and then go in the direction they did.... I will always love In Flames but these times they were untouchable.
@huh10314 Why? Would you like them to relese ther early albums again or do you want them to do the music they wanna do? just wondering? (is this a troll?)
@AirmetalDrummer Nono sorry ^^, i was talking to a friend so i wrote something wrong. but it was originaly meant to be sang by stane. Wasn´t written by him... but wasn´t realy an in flames member, just help. Still anders voice matched the music of in flames more than stane´s ever did.
i always thought clayman could be a colony, the songs are kind of similar when you think about it, but clayman uses a BIT more catchy riffs and lyrics, along with a few more keyboards, but they both have anders best lyrics on them.. well to me.. i love the voice he had on colony, clayman, and reroute. jester race and whoracle were tolerable for me, and still love them, but colony clayman and reroute are what did it for me.
it was a sign of things to come.... how? just because of the synth key lead. it sounded somewhat like colony still, but use of more catchy choruses, and alot more keyboards.
i never said clayman wasnt a good album, i enjoyed 80% of it, but ithad elements of what to expect from in flames down the track - i.e. only for the weak
That was the best thing I have ever heard, I really wish his vocals stayed the same since either The Jester Race, Whoracle or even Colony. Quite a shame.
well if you look at only for the week and then the style of songs on the albums thereafter, they moved away from the traditional sound of whoracle, colony etc, progressed to a more simple structured, downtempo songs with cleaner vocals. More commercial sounding one might think
species come and go, but the earth stands forever fast. Fuck I remember this coming out in 99 and thinking in flames could never do any wrong. then they released clayman....
Are you joking clayman is fucking awesome. Reroute was the "oh god why did they do this" album, but I still love Reroute, but after that I really am dissappointed.
@VaughnFrederick remind me to never play that game if it made you "Literally shit yourself" figuratively shitting myself is acceptable, but I don't like buying new undies.
@snapphane11 No... albums past Clayman rely far too much post-production sound effects and keyboards... unacceptable for a metal band (just ask Black Sabbath).
he srsly is. what bands are you listening to to NOT notice that? new in flames sound is kinda like soilwork, but speed is good at singing clean etc. and anders is not
shut up. honestly, does everyone in the world have to state their opinion about the new in flames? they're artists. they don't want to make their music sound exactly alike every time. they want to create something new and different. and why would you complain about the new in flames on a video of one their old songs? wtf?
i know...... still, clayman wasn't terrible, but definitely a step in the wrong direction none the less. still, IF has made some good stuff since then, but nothing in comparison to their old stuff

The In Flames I remember and fell in love with. I don’t even recognize the band or their music today.
I actually think the new album is pretty good but yeah a lot of the fire from the early days has been lost. Happens with age.
Anders Friden is a F(r)aud
@@tehdfhdfgdfgef you got that right 😂😂😂
Probably my favourite In Flames song. Old In Flames, New In Flames, they're amazing anyway.
Sweet mother of bass tone...
Best Band to come from Sweden by far, and one of my favourites of all time. Legends!

@RipXrevXA7X A year ago Clayman used to be my favourite In Flames album. But nowadays, Whoracle and TJR are my favourite ones.
whahaha 1:42
In Flames we trust! my favourite band ever
And they own live.
So fucking great!
jesper was like "....the fuck, no!" xD
@FerreBoy They haven't, for 5 albums. So I wouldn't have expected it is Jesper was still in the band.
i agree but the opening riff is awesome as well
@LsDButtHead Stanne wrote that one? I know the Jester Race is the first one that Anders is on.
[ Initiate Sarcasm Below ]
Stanne wrote all the guitars, bass, vocals, drums, and keyboards?
I knew he was good but damn thats awesome!
lol. this was in 2006 or 2004, thats a long before he went to rehab,,
from such heights the greatest have fallen
@snapphane11 Yes I agree totaly! And to you who say "I want the old in flames" SHUT UP listen to ther old albums one million times and let they do they do the music they want! (and please give the new album a chanse, it's good!)

jesper is allways good at vokals x)
@zombieninjapanda tottally agree
I really enjoyed Clayman.
But I agree.
Best Death Metal band out there.
@zombieninjapanda well said
Not saying the guitars are vocals aren't amazing, but does anyone else think the drumming really makes this song?
No way!
true, but only for the weak was a sign of things to come in my eyes.
you are right there were some good tracks, i was listening to it in my car on the way to work yesterday. was solid
fukc,,,anders is so fucking metal....
Man they were such fucking Gods. To be able to make masterpieces like this and then go in the direction they did.... I will always love In Flames but these times they were untouchable.
sounds better live
2:07
@huh10314 Why? Would you like them to relese ther early albums again or do you want them to do the music they wanna do? just wondering? (is this a troll?)

lol at 1:47 :D
I listen to Soilwork as well, and yes 'Speed' sings good clear, but Anders ain't bad.
\,,/ (-.-) \,,/ Keep fucking support METAL!
hi fanboi
Hey i don't know if i'm wrong but i think they have changed the vocalist
two seconds are lost...
it was a sign of things to come.... how? just because of the synth key lead. it sounded somewhat like colony still, but use of more catchy choruses, and alot more keyboards.
uh, how, only for the weak was fucking amazing. it showed no future plans for selling out like they have.
i never said clayman wasnt a good album, i enjoyed 80% of it, but ithad elements of what to expect from in flames down the track - i.e. only for the weak
@CoreyTaylooor you totally fucked that up...lmao
yea.. good thing they still the old stuff live
anders is so fuckin emo since rtr, to be honest
lol... i like bodom and all, but IF pwns
Anders is not bad at singing clear at all.
species come and go, but the earth stands forever fast.
Fuck I remember this coming out in 99 and thinking in flames could never do any wrong. then they released clayman....
the best in flames album is and will allways be the one written by mikael stane (now dark tranquility) The Jester Race
in my opinion ^^
Are you joking clayman is fucking awesome. Reroute was the "oh god why did they do this" album, but I still love Reroute, but after that I really am dissappointed.

@snapphane11 No... albums past Clayman rely far too much post-production sound effects and keyboards... unacceptable for a metal band (just ask Black Sabbath).
except its not, and its barely anything like the ones before it.
he srsly is. what bands are you listening to to NOT notice that? new in flames sound is kinda like soilwork, but speed is good at singing clean etc. and anders is not
shut up. honestly, does everyone in the world have to state their opinion about the new in flames? they're artists. they don't want to make their music sound exactly alike every time. they want to create something new and different. and why would you complain about the new in flames on a video of one their old songs? wtf?
IN WHORACLE WE TRUST!!
Damn, they need to make stuff like that album again instead of shitpiles like sense of purpose.
i know...... still, clayman wasn't terrible, but definitely a step in the wrong direction none the less. still, IF has made some good stuff since then, but nothing in comparison to their old stuff
