Old In flames is the best from 2000 back. I can't stand the new shit. I grew up listening to this At the Gates, Dark Tranquility etc. To each their own. I can't tolerate is cleans on new albums. Heard by so many people he can't pull it off live.
I think he blew his voice out in the mid 2000's cause I had also heard that many times and experienced some more lackluster shows during that time. However, I have seen them probably 5 times in the last 10 years and Ander's has had extremely strong performances in all of them. They have also opened up their set list a good bit. I remember when they wouldn't even play anything before Reroute that wasn't Only for the Weak. Got to see them play Moonshield live a few years ago and absolutely crush, along with Behind Space. Even their newer albums which some may not like (I still do) sound much better live as well. A huge problem from Siren Charms to I, The Mask is production issues. It's amazing how much better some of these newer songs sound live.
There are good songs on Colony, and I can enjoy each and every one of them. I'd say this is one of the best on the album, along with Colony and Coerced Coexistence. But to me personally, this album is basically the album before they got *really* good. To me, all the songs on the next album, Clayman, are basically as good or better as the best ones on Colony. (I'm sure a bunch of people will disagree, but hey, personal opinions!) And then it just gets better(although with some big changes in sound throughout) with each album up until Siren Charms, where it dipped a bit. And then I, the Mask started picking it up again, before we got the masterpiece that is Foregone. :D Anyway! Love seeing you continue your In Flames journey! Still lots to discover, though! ;)
The first In Flames Song I ever heard. Those guitars got me hooked immediately.
I'd definitely check out the Zombie Inc and Ordinary Story from this album
Strange instrument is usually a Synthesizer
This was one of my favorite songs back then and it still is nowadays.
Funny you say it sounds like a 2000's punk song xD it was on the soundtrack to Tony Hawk's Underground if you could believe that
That's where I heard it first as a 11 year old. Was In Flames we trust from then on! 🤘😂
Ordinary Story next pls?
nice reaction bro this song is fire

C’mon! Colony is their best album. A great era ending with Clayman. After that they chose the mainstream way, becoming not worth listening to.
