No slab.. Get a full cement foundation wall basement. Multi zone oil hot water Weil McLain efficient boiler. Northern Maine is a gorgeous four season area away from traffic, crime and folks are friendly, helpful, neighborly @travelfeet !
I am not from the area but since I've seen this house I haven't stopped thinking about it! What is food shopping like in that area? When I look things up there isn't much.

I was thinking that too, the winter winds must roar in straight from the tundra! A nice evergreen windbreak on the north would help, but at the cost of those stunning views.
Indianapolis is ridiculous. I have an rv and they are complaning about it because someone is staying in it. they told me i had to stop doing it and then sent me a court order over it

I would use it different type of horse. Put cars in the horse barn and build a track around the property.

@@lapsedluddite3381 No tunddra, not in Siberia. Just a northern tier state like the Atlantic Canadian provinces. 4 seasons and love them all!
