I just started the video, haven't even finished it and I already know I'm gonna thoroughly enjoy this. Why? Because I learned so much from watching your Caro-Kann videos. 9/10 I play the Italian as white so I'm hyped for this video. Thanks Alex.
What the heck, are you reading my mind or something... just today I started to experiment and watch videos on Italian Game. :D And then your video pops out. Geez louise. I've been going for the Evans Gambit.
Good stuff as usual! Thanks. I prefer the London and other d4 openings but it’s good to know other openings for the sake of variety! Might try this Italian version.
I love in game 1 how you turned the dark squared bishop into a useless spectator and then that beautiful mate. I have learned from your games how to recognize when to open the position and go for the throat without taking too much time or calculating. Great and instructive as always.
Alex your Jobova London and Caro Khan vids have helped me so much. You and Agadmator are my fave chess youtubers. Yesss love the Italian game, especially Evan's gambit even though i don't always win with it? Do you ever use Evan's?
@@AlexBanzea Please do that would be great. And please keep doing what you're doing making epic chess content. You're really funny always making me laugh and smile as well as learn.
I only play 1.e4 with the hope of playing 4.b4 in the Giuoco Piano. It’s usually thwarted with 1…c5 or 1…c6 so I never really want to play e4. But If I’m feeling nostalgic for the better days, I’ll try to play the evans gambit.
I don't understand your course options Alex. There is "Buy for $25 with included 2 hour 24 min free video" or "Buy with video for $119 with included 10 hours and 57min free video" So you get a 2 hours course or a 11 hour course? Or you only get video with the video course? Or those are extra on top of the regular course? Confusing. What is the amount of "content/hours" for the $25 vs the $120?
First game what should black have done? (I love the way that the engine says you made 4 mistakes. I played a game recently where opponent blundered the queen very early and fell to pieces: I won in 13 moves and the engine said I made 1 book move, 5 mistakes and 4 blunders. Only slight exaggeration!) Winning with 1.9 seconds on the clock. You said that it gave you a scare but you gave us heart attacks! I don't like to lose a pawn in front of the king but you say oh good, it opens up my rook! Other chess TH-camrs like to "punish" but Game 2 was sheer violence!
And thank you too. I’ve played the Italian opening many times but this video has given me so much food for thought. Italian 🇮🇹 and food… now I’m getting hungry 😂
Interesting. So for a typical squeeze you always go C3 B4 D3, later scoop up the pawn, bring in the whole army, and mate with queen. Then in the next game your Opponent resigns because you went fishing for his horse :)
This is what chatGPT could make out of this video's transcript, but I think it could do better: In a realm of quiet squares and lines, Where knights and pawns form neat designs, There lies a game, a refuge fine, From drilling, hammering, all the time. "Oh, neighbor, with your noisy drill, I challenge thee, a test of skill. On this chessboard, no need to shrill, Just Italian Game, a mind's thrill. With Knight to F1, then G3's flight, I dodge the Petrov, much to my delight. I plot and scheme with all my might, In hopes to make my pieces alight. A game of chess, so silent and sly, A cheeky escape from the buzz nearby. In each move, a hidden reply, 'Oh noisy neighbor, checkmate, goodbye!'" "@@AlexBanzea
A little unrelated to current content but you are myJobava guru! If you know your opponent is aware, would it be better just to do a standard London versus Jobava? Your content is so appreciated sir!
I love your videos but I hate that to spend so much time talking about ever single possible legal move so it’s hard for us to keep up and it’s annoying that you’re almost always losing on time in every video😊
That 1st game was crazy, awesome positional squeeze and a mate with 1s on the clock.
I just started the video, haven't even finished it and I already know I'm gonna thoroughly enjoy this. Why? Because I learned so much from watching your Caro-Kann videos. 9/10 I play the Italian as white so I'm hyped for this video. Thanks Alex.
If opponent opens d4 do you play Italian/JL as black?
We need an Italian rating climb!
Just bought your London course to add to the Caro course. Thanks for all the content!
Absolutely brilliant lessons, thank you so much

So stoked to watch this

Excellent video again. Definitely one of the best chess channels on TH-cam. Deep knowledge combined with calm humor - excellent.
I have been waiting for this one! Thanks!

I needed this video, thank you!
It's such a hilarious position, because, he can no longer defend the e6 bishop.

I played evans once OTB, lost with it and never tried again…but since you gives seem to like it so much I can give it another try 😇

Very instructive video 👍
Please do make a video explaining Petrov's defense too!
seconding this
Thank you , Alex, love your videos :) I suck in chess but it’s great to watch you win 🥇 do more chess arena and / or titles Tuesdays 🎉❤
Nice gambit Alex.kep up with the great work!!
dude reversed stafford gambit is fucking genius i acutally really like the idea of having the extra tempo, thank you alex banana
Apparently at 18.41 his bishop in e6 is undefended: no need to maneuver the Knight, just capture with King.
Are we going to get an Italian speed run like we got with the Caro??

Hi Alex - Thank you , love your videos. I suck in chess but it’s great to watch you win
do openings like this need the opposition to play book moves?
Thank you for this video I like the idea of including the that Jobava pawnstorm :-)
Hey I got that quick checkmate in the fantasy variation from your caro-kann course against my coworker but I'm already subbed. What do?
Good stuff, Alex!
Hey, what do you think of the Polish defense?
Can you do Evans Gambit i would be thrilled to watch it.
Thought this was going to be Anderssen’s Evergreen game and was thinking “oh great he’s going to shame me for not castling”
Bro I didnt know there are this many free wins to be picked up.

Game 1 was a 2k+ opening for sure! Gotta try this opening!
Okay I tried game 1 and it's pretty good against a 1300 player like me!

What a crazy first game.
I'm a bit disappointed you didn't go for the Knight checkmate in game 1.
Pls add more aggressive variations against kings indian in your london courses its awesome!
Excellent more about the Italien game
Can you do a ruy Lopez for intermediates next? Love your videos

Up to you! Both Game 1 and Game 2 are viable options
