Thank you so much for posting this video. The first cruise ship I ever worked on was Carnival Fantasy & so this takes me right back. My cabin was just aft of this area! There was a hydrolic, water-tight door installed a few meters aft of this area during the dry dock in late 2010. My cabin was in the corridor just behind that door on the stbd side! The door at 0:55 was the crew laundry where we would do our own clothes (separate to the ship's laundry where bedding is washed). These spaces shown on camera are on deck 3 fwd. To go back up the stairs would lead to the access to the backstage of the main show lounge on deck 6 & the crew bar on deck 7. The fantasy class crew bars were the best in the fleet as opened onto that whole open deck on the bow & the balcony above on deck 8, all just for the crew.
I visited the morgue on QM2 during the back of house tour. I asked the head of security if there was a prison cell on board. He denied it, but both of us knew that was not true...
Yeah this was a little bit creepy like something straight out of a scary movie you'd expect to see in a theater! But nonetheless thank you for sharing I would have never guessed that a cruise ship had a morgue or a prison!
Intrtesting... Was told on the Ecstacy that it didn't have a brig, they have 2 inside cabins that are semi isolated that they can lock from the outside. Morgue is same though... Closet with a freezer at the back :(
It's a pretty big morgue. It's bigger than the one at one of the hospitals I used to work at. It was a small 2 body refrigerator unit behind a door off the main corridor. Creepy as anything on night shift as only 3 of us would run the whole place and all of the lights were off.
Notice the type of latch the brig door had and there were no handles or anything on the inside? There is a red graffiti on the wall earlier in the video which suggests to me this ship is mothballed/abandoned, so if you were in that cell and the door closed behind you....💀🪦
I would say nothing sensible with that. A large ship is like a small community, with hospital, shop, hairdresser, police, firebrigade, church, prison, mourge etc...
Cool, should have been posted long ago. I thought the three person cooler was a nice touch. If nobody dies, I wonder if they turn it off, or maybe they run it all the time and and use it for extra meat storage?
"thought the three person cooler was a nice touch. If nobody dies, I wonder if they turn it off, or maybe they run it all the time and and use it for extra meat storage" Ewwwwww.... X{
@@B-ch6uk It's documented all over the web if you look at it though. I understand cruise companies not advertising these parts of the ships, with that being said it's not a secret either.
Hey stuff happens. I have a friend that's the manager at a retail store and he told me some guy came in to buy a pair of shoes and five minutes later the man had a heart attack and passed out dead on the floor. Never know when an emergency calls. They gotta be prepared.
WTF was this. No explanation on what is being shown. No storytelling about a time they actually had to put someone in there. Horrible video. I give it TWO MIDDLE FINGERS UP!

The brig is next to the morgue... Nice
0:50 at first I thought THOSE were the prison beds 😂 seeing the actual prison was a bit of a relief
those are the morgue beds i think lol

When someone becomes violent (with all the liquor on board) or commits a serious crime, where would you put that person?
Why would he lie? He should have just shown you the brig isn't that interesting
@@plateshutoverlock They can also force you to stay in your cabin with a security guard sitting by the door instead of putting you in the brig.
@@psirvent8especially an interior cabin with no other way in or out
Not all cruises have a brig they will just have guards outside your cabin until next port of call
do NOT buy the 15$ cruise ticket!!! This was my room for 7 days!!!!!
What u mean it was ur room for 7 days ? Cause u bought a ticket for 15$
Obviously they offer a deal for 15 but don't tell them where they're staying
Yeah this was a little bit creepy like something straight out of a scary movie you'd expect to see in a theater! But nonetheless thank you for sharing I would have never guessed that a cruise ship had a morgue or a prison!
dude, this is very intense ! this is cool

Dude. That was creepy as heck.
Do you check under the bed each evening in case there are monsters under your bed?
I guess I don't know what was sensitive about it wad there a body and I missed it or something
I guess just the subject of dead bodies. It surely looked clean like it was never used.
Agreed 😂

Thank you for sharing this video
The brig on Carnival Sunshine looks similar to the one on the Fantasy, but the door to it was just marked "No Exit".

The ship was sold to be scrapped...That's why the graffiti
Thank you for sharing, I guess people die , and there are always bad people, what can you do?
Where do you go to the bathroom if your locked in
I would say nothing sensible with that. A large ship is like a small community, with hospital, shop, hairdresser, police, firebrigade, church, prison, mourge etc...
I’ve been in that prison for two nights
I imagine if no passenger is being naughty, the crew could use it to be naughty!
@@Dinngg0 Why? Crew can use there own cabin...and it locks from the inside.
Opps, what happened so you ended up there?🙈

Yeah they serve us human meat
Actually the crew use it as a sorta storage locker, beer cooler thing'

dude, this is scary
Why is it dark ?
Cruise ship was getting scrapped
Isn't a prison onboard a ship usually called a brig?
Yup it is
Brig = jail. Galley = kitchen. Head = bathroom
Scuttlbut is a water fountain or gossip.
Bulkhead is a wall. 😅
If the video disappears! It will make them look like they hiding something. If the video is still relevant it’s a win win situation.
Turn on the damn lights. What the heck is wrong with you guys?
Where the brig?
Is anyone else here because of Caitlyn from Ask a mortician?
Yes I am here because of her cruise video.
Where’s the sensitive part…

Hello!
Why sensitive?
Somebody was obviously taping this without permission. I doubt they want people to know about morgues and brigs on board.
