Native English speakers should speak as you both do. Btw, Oli you are my favourite English teacher in the internet. I've been improved my reading a lot with comic books and texts about another interests of mine, such as art, mythology, philosophy, etc. Read the subtitles in English while watching TV series, cartoons and movies helped me read faster plus memorizing pronunciation. I can read but usually I can not understand the meaning , However my level is intermediate now and I can't read newspapers and magazines because they have a lot of hard vocabulary. so sometimes I get frustrated but I say to myself that one day my English gets improved and I become fluent .
