Everything ive seen on those little Toros fantastic. The snow that little guy is getting through at 2:35 and on has convinced me to go get one. What a great little machine

I just got my ego... this was a very fair comparison. You both pushed these blowers to their limits! Either way both are better then shoveling

Thank you for watching and for the comment. Both blowers have their pros and cons.

So Ego’s Peak Power is dead even with the baby 99cc Toro gas blower. Thank you for saving me from making the mistake of buying a Ego single stage blower as I was looking to replace my 15 year old HS520 Honda that would easily handle that snow. I only needed to replace that because I gas it to my Dad but it still works perfectly. I bought a Honda HS720 instead.

Awesome comparison video! You threw those little guys a beating! If money was no option, an electric on the back of the Utv or tractor with a few extra batteries in the heated can would be the best. Those 4 stroke little toro snowblowers are great but heavy.

I have one of these gas powered single stage Toros. It's still lighter than the smallest two-stage machine. Smallest two-stage gas snow blower I own is an old Toro 521. What's 5 horsepower engine and a 21 inch clearing path.

Difference is, the toro could do the next 10 driveways on very little gas. How many batteries would the ego need?

My gas Toro does the same thing of throwing snow backwards at times. New paddles same thing. I just have to make a few more passes to clear it properly.

I think the EGO one can only feed snow up to 5 inches, although they claimed to have 8 inches...

A 721 Toro comparison would be more fair. I have a Toro CCR 2400 GTS 21 inch and it would be able to beat them both. I have EGO everything else.

I own both of these. The gas power Toro does a lot better job than the Ego.

What about getting a qualified user to test

It looks to me like the John Deer was the clear winner.

I'll take gas any day over this overpriced plastic toy.

Not a fair comparison. One is a 21 in and the other is an 18

Nope. When snow gets like this, out comes the two stage snow blower.

Hey, this still beats shoveling by a long shot.

Something else very few modern single stage snow blowers do not have engine power going to the wheels I believe the Toro snowmaster series is the only turn single stage snow blower with engine power at the wheels on the market today. Prior to the 1980s that was a very common setup for single-stage snowblowers. Also in a single stage is very useful when there's not as thick enough layer of snow for two-stage machine.

Don't operate a snow blower while wearing sneakers.
The advantage of a gas single stage snow blower is that its rubber paddles help you to pull the snow blower forward.
For this you need a proper stand and if you lift the wheels a little from the ground this effect is even better.

Neither one was clearing the driveway at first. I don't see this as a fair comparison at all. I have never seen anyone run snowblowers the way this was done. Who does that stuff while cleaning a driveway. It was clearly a race not a demonstration as to which does the better job. Sorry not a good video for anything.

They didn't put a continuous load on the machines. You should be continuously spitting snow out that chute. Gotta let the machines do the work. This is how your back is messed up by 40.
