  • I put the battery powered EGO SNOW BLOWER to the test. I've gotten 5" of fresh Colorado Snow and a 250 foot long driveway. A nightmare if I have to shovel it all. Will this machine do the heavy lifting or am I back to using a snow shovel? In this video I use the EGO SNT 2110 snow blower in attempt to gain access to and from my home.

    Lawn tractor, a snow blade, 2-3 passes, maybe 5 minutes max, and you're done. Plus, you won't be covered in snow.
    That does a pretty darn good job though. Be ready for $500-1,000 in batteries in a few years.

    Thanks for this. We have a STEEP and tightly winding driveway and our snow plowing service just can't clean it effectively. We still have to go out & shovel AND pay the service. So we're considering a battery-powered snow blower, but it has to be light enough to maneuver on slopes of up to 35°.

      I’ve shoveled for years and this machine is worth it. If your driveway is steep you could use this machine to work downward with ease. The two stage is more expensive but is self propelled and could eliminate the need to pay for the service. Thanks for the comment and please consider subscribing. I’ll have more videos coming soon

    nice, your running 7.5s for batteries? 2 pointers, your driveway is not very wide. So based on wind direction toss with the wind to just 1 side even from the far side. You and your machine won't look like snowmen when you are done lol :), Second, I got a bottle of a hybrid ceramic car wax, 3 coats, all over the machine, outside and inside the auger housing and the chute. Helps alot with clean up after and chute clogging.

      Thats a good idea, Thanks! I'lll try that next storm. Im running a 2.5 and a 7.5 and typically gets it done but has ran out at the last few passes on the parking area of my hammer head driveway. Im a nano creator trying to build my channel. Please subscribe. Thanks again

      EGO batteries do pack a punch. Nothing wrong with being a skeptic but a guy can be happy with this product

    I have been using the same gas powered snow blower since 11/1994.Already got my monies worth, well maintained and should last me another 15-20 years. Average cost of ownership with maintenance so far is less than $32 a year!

      That’s money well spent. Jury is out if these electric snowblowers will last that long. We will see but I’m a motor head at heart and so far the EGO does need about 2 $20 scraper bars per year. No gas no oil. Sounds like it might be about the same cost right now. Thanks for the comment

    I'm trying to decide between the 2 stage and the single stage. How difficult would you say it is to push this through the snow? It looks like it assists you, but I'm getting pretty old! Thanks!

      @ALBOECHANNEL  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      It’s important to snow blow right after it snows. That’ll typically be easier because as it sits it gets crusty from freezing and or wet from melting. I live in Colorado and our snow is mostly light and fluffy. It’s comparable to pushing a lawn mower in my opinion. I think if your driveway is flat you may like this model. Regardless both single stage and 2 stage are easier than shoveling. I have an Amazon link in the description on the model I have. Thanks for your comment!

    What power setting did you have it on. Max throttle? I have this machine but haven’t gotten a chance to use it yet.

    • @ALBOECHANNEL
      @ALBOECHANNEL  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I leave it on max throttle. You’ll like the machine. Keep an eye on the bottom scraper bar. It’s meant to wear down but depending on how rough your driveway is it can wear down fast.

      HA! Not sure I've ever seen it throw snow 40 feet. Machine says it can but I too have my doubts. Thanks for the comment.

      Even the gas ones don’t throw as far as they say unless conditions are perfect. But that’s definitely farther than 8’. Lol
