The only thing that actually stopped Cassian was getting shot twice, falling down maybe 25-50 feet, and the Death Star. I honestly Rogue One was a little more careful about who had died. They could have made a sequel to Rogue one, or something like that. But, I feel like Rogue one did do a pretty decent job anyway. Great video!

Dramatic... emotional... realistic... I've never seen so many good actors in one show, all complementing each other. And then you have it all wrapped up in a Star Wars setting. I had tears watching this video.
Cassian, Maarva, Kino, Luthen and many more. To turn these characters into the ones who sparked the rebellion and the way the show did that so seamlessly amazes me everytime. It's as if they were already existing in the star wars universe even before rogue one came out. It actually feels like the events of Andor and Rogue one were already there at the time "A new hope" came in. To create such a masterpiece along with it's masterful characters and blend them so beautifully into the star wars universe is what the team behind Andor has achieved. Everyone who worked on this should be absolutely proud of themselves for creating this flawless piece of art.

When I first found out they were making an Andor show I was like _is that the guy from rogue one?_ Now he's one of my favourite Star Wars characters, and definitely my favourite Star Wars show.
We all know about Force ghosts in Star Wars. Mostly those ghosts are heard by Force users like Luke, Leia, Ezra, Yoda, and Obi-wan. But remember, everyone is part of the living Force. And in this last episode, Cassian hears Force ghost of his father, Clem, as remembers his words at the wall. He hears the Force ghost of Nemik thru the manifesto and, finally, the Force ghost of Maarva. Cassian is now ready to fight and become one of the rebellion's leaders. In a way, Cassian is now one with the Force. In a way, if Luthen is a kind of Jedi Master, Cassian has become a Knight of the Jedi.

And yet, they are non alike. Han Solo is bigger than life character, that is fitting for a fairytale like original movies were. Andor is an ordinary man caught into a web of circumtances of which he has no control. In fact, until he decides to join the rebellion, he is someone things happen to. He is forced to kill the provo guard because of circumstances, he is forced to do the Aldhani raid, he is thrown into prison for six years. When he joins the rebellion, he becomes a piece of a cog, but at least he gets to do what he believes in.
The key to these sort of trailer-ish edits is to keep them short, punchy and landing on powerful moments. I can appreciate the work that went into this but if you had cut it down to around 1-2 min and changed the pacing with a few punctuated moments it would have been excellent.
I am now so mad that Rogue One had to kill off Cassian. Imagine how many great stories he could have been in, although they do have the years before then to fill in if they want.
Watching Andor makes me feel like I'm watching a Shakespearean tragedy. I know that most of the characters (except Mon Mothma) are going to die, and that makes their sacrifices so much more meaningful. Sacrifice is the overwhelming theme of Andor.
“He will be an unstoppable force for good” Didn’t he needlessly kill people for the rebellion? Innocents even? And it took the assassination of a hostage of the empire to get him to question his methods?
Maybe he was 6 years old when the empire started to do mining on Kenari. The Empire left their mark on Kenari over the course of many years. Small tribes of orphans were left to survive on their own as a result. So, according to that he has been fighting against the empire since he was 6.
@@avidplanes Yes, that was the republic ship because the republic was coming there to wipe out everyone from the planet as the atmosphere got toxic for the outsiders after a major mining accident (empire was behind the mining). Empire was mining on kenari for years because of its rich resources (we even get to see a scene where kassa looks towards an open mine) and the kenari people were almost killed and the rest were fighting to survive.

Andy Serkis really stood out for me. The prison episodes were... something else. Phenomenal. But so... visceral.
Stellan Skarsgård was also phenomenal. Luthen Rael is one of the best characters in Star Wars.

Andor is prequel to rogue one but rogue one was released first. You can watch them either way but i would recommend to watch rogue one first.
It would be great to see Polish dubbing version of this video. Poland suffered very similar fate to the one of Andor.
