It's the best Star Wars show ever made. Everything in it looks and feels real, you can feel the complex emotions of all the characters and the purpose for which they are fighting for. It is a masterpiece.
@@MeaParvitas96 that is what makes this series unique, they aren't trying to cash out on previously established superhero stuff. Andor tells it's story from the perspective of it's characters emotions and who seem to fighting for the same cause in various places and I absolutely love it.
Without a doubt, the best thing that Disney has done this year, it feels different, it is well built, the characters and their performances are incredible, it is audiovisually great in direction, photography, CGI and music, and impeccable tension management, perfect? no, it has its flaws, excellent? of course, will they manage to do something like this again? I don't know, but as long as it's half as good as Andor, I'm happy
I'd even argue it was the best show Disney has put together in general for the audience group it targetted, let alone star wars as a whole. The only release that compares is Rogue One (for obvious reasons). Bravo Disney and team, y'all killed it. I need more.
For those who call this show boring, I don't know what to tell you but say you are missing out on something special. To me I have never felt a show so deeply and personally as this show is a very long time. I get Star Wars is to entertain like it was in the beginning with its roots in Flash Gordon but George Lucas always envisioned this series into something deeper and more methodical than the movies series offered and I feel Andor has finally captured that. You have to be patient but you are rewarded with some of the best Star Wars that has ever been put to screen.
Having seen all of Andor, it is truly one of the best star wars project in its 40+ history! From its writing, to acting, and of course, cinematography, everything is top notch! Great video edit, and looking forward to the next one!
Definitely. Easily and by far the best live action Star Wars series. Not that there was much competition though. And up there close to The Clone Wars and Rebels as series overall. I hope The Bad Batch keeps being that good until the end.
The eye of Aldhani and the aerial shot of the 7-sided prison when our heroes were leaping to their freedom far below - will be forever burned into my memory. What is even more amazing is that all of the many beautiful shots in Andor are purposeful. They are there to further the story and stir our emotions.
Goosebumps the entire time watching this vid; what an incredible show. In as much as it wouldn't exist without the OT, it surpasses it and everything else in the SW canon thus far. Not just a great SW show, it's one of the best shows in any genre I've seen in quite some time.
Whoa, surpasses the OT? Curb your superlatives there, son. Praise where it's due - some perspective though, please. It surpasses what we were expecting a tv spin-off to even attempt to be, granted. A very human drama set a long time ago in a Star Wars universe far far away. But, discounting the excremental ReTurd of the Jedi, the OT is the literal source, the mainstem iconic vision while Andor - as good as it is - can only ever be a tributary feeding off it and back into it. As much as Andor stayed with me, could I ever sit through it again? But it joins the ranks of Mr Robot, Foundation, For All Mankind, for me, as an example of the better science fiction/fantasy tv out there in recent years and should rightly be lauded and applauded as such. Meanwhile, it's the OT that gets Hall of Fame status (metaphorically, obvs, we know) whereas Andor is an admirable straight to streaming curiosity with niche appeal even amongst Star Wars fans. It stuck the landing for you and me while for others it failed to launch - the OT, meanwhile, continues to Kessel Run the shit out of it
That meteor shower scene, with the amazing lead up to it and the score, with the the best visuals I've seen on any screen in a long time, was probably the best small screen moment for me easily in the past ten years. And the complexity of the characters in Andor - which carries through from Rogue One - provides the best drama in any Star Wars series. K2SO and B2emo are also the most lovable droids in the franchise.
There are so many phenomenal small screen stories, especially in Britain. Star Wars fans just seem like they’re stuck in a very small hollow nerdy bubble so all their frame of reference just comes from disney or marvel. So when they’re presented with quality they act like it’s the best series ever made It’s brilliant, but small screen quality like this isn’t new
This show is full of gorgeous cinematography, but by far my favorite shots were during the meteor shower. I have never seen anything like that before on a screen! In particular I love the shot of the tie fighter pilot climbing into his ship in the hangar.
I have never seen anything like that on screen either, but the craziest part is that it's a TV show. It's look like a god damn movie. It even looks better than most modern blockbusters. It looks better than TRoS. It's mindblowing.
@@paulbeen459 Couldn't agree more! It looks on par or better than Rogue One which is my favorite-looking star wars film in terms of shot composition and cinematography. Doesn't surprise me that the two share a lot of the same talent.

Not entirely sure how to describe it
I just thought of something. Almost every episode has an amazing shot that feels iconic. Meanwhile in shows like Kenobi there is only like 2 shots that I remember
And not just scenery, great shots of Cassian, Mon, Syril, Luthen, etc that say so much about their characters. There's real depth and it places you in the characters world.
The eye of Aldhani is the most beautiful shot in this show, Narkina 5 storyline is amazing SW-analogy of Shawshank redemption. Thank you Amazing shots for my wish video. ❤️
This makes me sad at the thought that we would have to wait 2 years to see season 2, and that it would be the last :( And at the same time, this makes me want to watch the entire series again
Same as with Season 2 of House Of The Dragon and Season 5 (final season) of Stranger Things, but at least Season 3 of The Mandolorian is coming out in February 2023
Andor is everything I’ve ever wanted from Star Wars and more. Everything-the visuals, the music, the dialogue-comes together so perfectly. It immerses the audience in the majesty of its world and the lives of its characters with an unparalleled finesse.
i want to watch all of andor on an imax screen so BADLY, but especially the eye of aldhani. the first time i watched it, i think i cried. it’s just so beautifully done, it still leaves me breathless. and jealous of a fictional planet’s fictional astronomical event
This show was an absolute masterpiece... in every regard. Clearly the unadulterated, visionary work of the shows creator... and not some Frankenstein's turd of a monster cobbled together by a committee of hacks and accountants trying to appease all markets and audiences. Everyone at the top of their game... actors, cinematography, music all smashing it home because of the supreme written words they were given to work with. I've loved Star Wars ever since I saw the original trilogy in cinemas as a young child. And in my own opinion, this is the best Star Wars we've had since then. I enjoyed the prequels trilogy, HATED the sequels trilogy, LOVED Rogue One and really like the Mandalorian. But Obi Wan was a massive disappointment and Boba Fett was all over the place. Both of those shows had good moments but can you imagine how much better they could have been? Both them AND the sequel trilogy if they were up to this quality? I'm not saying all Star Wars needs to be the same and made by the same people... different strokes for different folks and everyone's taste is different. But to me, Andor has set the bar and there is NO reason whatsoever that it can;t all be this good in it's own way. Not only is Andor my favourite Star Wars of all time, but it's also my favourite TV show since the reimagined Battlestar Galactica. Anyway... I love your montage/edit here and think it would make an excellent trailer for the show. 👍
Appreciate the explanation. Although I disagree a bit. I think the first half of the series is not very good although the second half is amazing in all regards. It's my favorite live action Star Wars series by far. I don't think the others were any good. Not even The Mandalorian, which is pretty bad in my opinion.
Everything, from the cinematography, costume design, set design, writing, casting, and direction should be commended for making this series as good as it is.
It speaks to this show's greatness when I felt a warm feeling with every shot presented in this compilation. It's only been a little over two months since the first episode, and it feels like I have known these characters, these places, and the music for my entire life... much like the original trilogy :) I haven't felt this way about Star Wars for a long time outside of Clone Wars

@@bryanmanuelbaes7871 whereas a lot of the other stuff is like when you meet up again after a few years and they've started dicking about with crayons and dribbling everywhere.
I must say that my absolutely favourite shot from this show is Luthen Transformation, where he is practicing his acting and smile then to turn into classical Luthen back.
What an incredible masterpiece of a show. It saddens me that people talk down on it, because it encourages Disney to continue spewing out generic nostalgia-bait trash like Boba Fett

0:03 That moment when you put the first episode and you're not sure if you're watching "Andor" or "Blade Runner"... yes, that was my first impression 😁😁👍👍
Sadly, few people have seen Andor, and it is that I liked the protagonist so much, also the quality of the series, the story and to dazzle him is the cinematography that is great for a Star Wars series, just like The Mandalorian, Andor proves to move away from the topic of the Skywalkers and tell its own story. Up close it's the best thing Star Wars ever did.
Great video, every shot matches the music! - Andor was beautiful. There was plenty of moments where I thought to myself that "Holy shit, this is gorgeous!" I feel like I could watch these all day without context, and I'd still like it. - [0:18] had me in chills. Until then I still wasn't sure what I should expect from this show. Then I saw this shot and suddenly I just knew this is something else. Brilliant cinematography!

1:29 this right here. i can't stress enough how much i love this shot
You can make a museum out of this series
thought this video might be a little long but nope it’s just that Andor had that much good content
I was hoping someone would do something like this
Great video, every shot matches the music!

Andor was beautiful. There was plenty of moments where I thought to myself that "Holy shit, this is gorgeous!" I feel like I could watch these all day without context, and I'd still like it.

[0:18] had me in chills. Until then I still wasn't sure what I should expect from this show. Then I saw this shot and suddenly I just knew this is something else. Brilliant cinematography!
I was so hoping the shot of the Ferrix citizens walking towards the imperials would show up
Andor was refreshingly really good! Not like peak television but I still enjoyed it.
Honestly every shot from the show could be in this video
Oh man, where's the TIE Pilots getting aboard his fighters, that for me is the best shot of the series
Much like Zach Snyder's work, I really love how they shot every scene like it was straight out of a graphic novel.
Beautiful selection do more please 🙏🏼
i was hoping they'd have done kenobi with such quality
