Gott, this is the most perfect model railroad in existence!! The Locomotives smoke, the vehicles and people move, and the scenery and structures are perfect! Heck, I may sell my model railroad layout and get a drone. It would be cheaper. Superb video!!
I got to ride the rails on the GNRR back in 1988 or 1989 aboard the Santa Train. I was working for Georgia Public Television and we covered the Santa Train, I believe in 1989. I got to meet the president of GNRR, Mr Wilds Pierce, back then. Me and a friend got to ride the whole route two years in a row, riding in the caboose of the Santa Train. I´m glad I got plenty of video back then as I like to look at it from time to time. What a fun time to be aboard the GNRR Santa Train. I asked the engineer what kinda engine was pulling the train and he told me it was a GP-8.
Thanks. I have shot the south end, this video, and the north end, and tried the middle several times but never was lucky enough to catch anything. I also want to do the switchback but you never know what day they are going there and I don’t have the time to take off and go visit every day for a week.
Are those GP20's? Wow, what quality locomotives they are if they're still running. I think units that old were built @1960/61. Fantastic video. The work of freight trains is often hidden from public view. Great educational film, as well here.
Great video of the Georgia Northeastern RR at work. Thanks for posting. I look forward to seeing more videos of the GNRR.-Tom

Fantastic work!
Amazing drone work. If you don’t do this professionally, you darn sure should! New to the area and was curious about the property. Thanks for posting

GP16's probably. I'm glad you like it. Their line is hard to view in most places because of so many trees.
Outstanding!
This roar is awesome!
thank you detail video on real world operation on short line railroad
GottliebPins, I'm looking to buy a drone and what king do you have? Great Video. 1/8/2018
Stan Wilson I have two DJI Phantom 4’s and I love them. Excellent video quality and easy to fly.
