Sing About Me, I'm Dying of Thirst is a song I always play when someone close to me passes away. Super emotional song, and one that really helped shape the idea for me that rap can be a VERY emotionally impactful genre (Don't know why I thought that it couldn't be previously. Art is art, bro.). I also grew up in Gary, Indiana, so I can relate to the hopelessness of poverty.
Yo, I was totally thinking of requesting that album, the only reason I didn't, is because The Spiteful Chant isn't currently on Spotify, and that's a top 5 of that album
TO PIMP A BUTTERFLY NEXT. Also, great reaction, i would just mention the fact that with Kendrick, you need to mainly focus on lyrics and Storytelling, more than anything.
i would suggest reacting to gnx since it's rly popular right now and you'd get more views, but i'd understand if you wanted to react to them in order. glad you liked this one!
Also, I had the same reaction as you to maad city when I heard it properly for the first time thanks to vine. I got into Kendrick in 2016 and when I listened to this album I was like "Yooooo ain't nooo way this is that one song!!!" Best song fr
Exactly how i first reacted to this album, every single one straight to my liked music, and the next album, and next one, and eventually every single song from kendrick is in my liked music, and then i searched everything else, features, unreleased, black hippy, and leaks. Right now im itching on that GNX trailer/snippet😅
nice reaction! for full understanding of what happening in this album i REALLY reccomend watching "good kid, m.A.A.d city: The Whole Story" by Chelito, its a really nice vid vro trust 🙏
Two Bsides from this album you should definitely check out. County Building Blues, and Cartoons & Cereal. If you do the new album, I would also check out the single Watch The Party Die. It is not on Spotify, and was released prior to the album, post Drake beef in anticipation for the album
I would love to see you get into Kanye’s discography, some of the best hip hop albums of all time. From college dropout, all the way to Yeezus. 8 straight amazing albums.
Also I will not tolerate any Drake hate 😂 take care and nothing was the same are flawless albums if you ever want to listen. Definitely his best 2 albums
best rap album of the last two decades in my opinion. critics favor TPAB for its avant-garde/jazz influence and conscious lyricism but GKMC's storytelling and production are both next level. also if you like the OG sound of this album youll love GNX, tons of g-funk/west coast influence all over it.
i highly recommend you react to his whole discography, all of his albums are great on the same level and are so much different from each other.
i wouldn't say on the same level (except TPAB) , he has no bad albums though .
@@idirbouchdoug1567 yeah i know but i mean every album could be your favourite of his and i wouldn't be mad at it.
You have to do TPAB
You absolutely have to listen to more of Kendrick’s albums, I always recommend you do them in order so definitely do tpab next
This is actually my favorite album of his, from the storytelling, to the BAAAAARS, to the beats, everything on this album is literal perfection
couldn't agree more

If you want something a lot more doomer, DAMN. is the album for you.
You should check out Section .80, it gives more context to this album and makes Sing about me hit much harder.

You're in for a wild ride, his albums are insane
Quick subscribe. Dope reaction

Your gf should have pushed you into reacting to the beef that would have been hilarious😂

Good Kid is really underrated, produced by Pharrell too
Gnx goes haaaard
The reason this and pimp are his bet is cause of the instrumentals
I am also extremely fond of Section.80 and Mr Moral And The Big Steppas

that's a great idea actually! Idk shit about his music besides a few popular ones of course
@ college dropout, graduation, my beautiful dark twisted fantasy, 808s and heartbreak are all amazing albums. Can’t go wrong with any album.
If you love 90s hip hop, you'll like GNX. Sonically, it's very much from that era.
Also I will not tolerate any Drake hate 😂 take care and nothing was the same are flawless albums if you ever want to listen. Definitely his best 2 albums
kendrick def has alot of eminem influence in the way he raps
