- Digimon World 3 is arguably the best Digimon video game of all time and we need a remaster! Digimon World 3 was released for the PS1 in 2002 and with the success of Digimon World Next Order on Switch and PC, it makes wonder what a Digimon World 3 remake might look like!
The success of other pixel-art monster-taming games such as Coromon and Monster Sanctuary shows that pixel-art games are celebrated in the genre.

Actualy i'm working on a DW2003 remake as a hobby... By now i'm only showing in my channel the features of the DW2003 Card Game, but some systems of the entire game are already implemented (Battle System, Digivolution, Training, Asuka Central and East Sectors 90% created and others new surprise features to make the game gain a new life). Maybe i upload a video soon in my channel to share the evolution of the entire remake with you guys too.

To the entire DW2003 remake, we really going to give it a new life, no more str+speed overpowered, all stats will have your importance. Another thing to change in battle is it's dynamics, no more X+attack and the battle is OK, the remake will count with a minimum human interferance, so if you only play "attack command" and do nothing to "accurate this" (Like a mini-game inside the battle), enemy will evade your attack... In an near future i will upload a video with the entire DW2003 scratch

@@digiworldremake Well, I couldn't quite understand what you meant. But I just hope it's not something that requires motor coordination, but simple and pure strategy. I'm not very skilled.
DMW3 is my most fav digimon game and love it more than DMW1
and agreed, the backtracking is the biggest problem
they need to tidy the questline if remake is on the line

I think all of us Digimon fans (or maybe its just me) would drool over DW1-3 remakes. 1/3 were awesome, I'd so love 2 but it SOOO needs a speedup to the animations(without it feels like such a grindfest). Also Im from the US: years later I found out the Europe ver. (2003) was pretty much DW3 plus DLC..never got to play but I'd hope a remaster would be modeled after that.

Quest management and flying/fast travel would have easily made this game 10/10. The fact that it's top 3 for my Nostalgia fix still says a lot about how great this game was
yes please the story is so insane bro digimon world 2003 was so long and so many digimon to evolve and level was so fun it would be a insane remake and i so badly want to see monmon kotemon and bearmon again :(

I'd be happy just to see a port for the digimon world games for pc. A remaster would be a step up, but I'd be just as happy with a port alone. Make it happen!

I keep hoping. Even without the fast travel, just make random encounters less frequent, you can literally take a step after a battle and get into another one. Tone down the exp grind too like... by a lot. Quests dialog telling you where to go next, seems easy to implement. I can take IRL notes to keep track.
To speed up the battle. Remove the dialog boxes that tell what you just did! let everything be visual cues. Maybe just the one telling how much damage you did, but I digress.
Only a few tweaks away from being such a great game!

Correction:
If you own a PS2 or PS3 you can also play Digimon World 3, the original system is not the limit.
Maybe not all released PS2 or PS3 can play the PS1 Disk, but I still play this game natively on both my PS2 and PS3.

Big YES! This game made my childhood and I replayed it on emulators a few times already. Got a physical original PS1 Copy as well (EU version). I absolutely agree with your thoughts and ideas.
We better pray that they reveal a Digimon World 3 Remaster/Remake on the upcoming Digicon this year. 🙏🙏🙏🙏 I badly want a remake of Digimon World 3, especially being able to play on the Switch.

I never liked the possibility of any rookie for getting all digivolutions, it kinda beats the thing about choosing one and digivolving lines. Other than that, awesome game.
Unique lines for all the recruitable mons would be great!

I've been replaying world 3 almost constantly over the past few years through emulation(I own multiple copies jsyk) and I cannot get bored with the game! I'd gladly buy a remake that keeps the charming graphics OST and gameplay 6 times!

It's definitely the best digimon game to me , i'l always love it and miss it :') my fav childhood game and ps1 game , if only they'd make a remake with better grpahics and add teleportations point and change some mechanics , add side quests maybe and some more content , maybe an online mode besides story more , like an mmo that woule be hella fun

I don't know why but I never loved loved World 3. I'd be interested in a remake but more of a remake than just remaster. I enjoyed the Digimon World Stories on the NDS more, and the Cybersleuth series hasn't really scratched that same level of satisfaction on world design.
The DS games are great! A remake of World 3 could be cool! What would you want to see added?
currently trying a playthru again im getting near the end thanks to emulation running at 4k and im loving the grind. alttho ill admit to using a walkthru that shits hard lol i do really want this remastered tho. its too good

Haha probably a petition of some sort but I have the faintest hope we learn more about the upcoming Digimon games by 2024. Hopefully, that news includes some of the classics

Idk why you think switch is the preferred console when psn has had some rereleases of ps1 games recently
I think games that look similar have done well on Switch, and Switch games generally sell so it might be most successful on that platform. We've also received recent ports of Digimon on Switch
