- They tried to convince me to eat even more food… Today we are at the proper pie company in Haines city, Florida, taking on an English food challenge! This British pie challenge called the nights quest, had a 60 minute time limit and featured practically the whole menu of their meat, pies, including steak, chicken, turkey, buffalo chicken (like buffalo chicken wings), pulled pork, and a variety of other curries and vegetable pies! We were in the quest to get the approximately $100 meal for free, however, things got a little weird when the owner wanted me to eat an even bigger challenge… Tune in to see what happens!

I usually watch Joel eat amazing amounts of food and say I couldn't even get down all of the liquids he drinks, let alone the food. Just incredible. Eats 17 pies and gets on a plane. That's a flight I'm glad I'm not on.

The Shepherds Pie is made with Minced Lamb with a Mash Potato top. A Cottage Pie is Ground Beef with a mashed Potato topped. My grandparents preferred the Shepherds Pie over the Cottage Pie. I think only for the fact they immigrated here in the 1940`s and became American citizens in early 1944. I myself like both Cottage and Shepherds Pie. Great video as always
Pies are not Winter food. They're ANY season food. Especially here in New Zealand! Mince and cheese, and steak and cheese, are THE #1 pie flavours in the country. Come over, Joel!!
Ilive in New Zealand and we are a young country only a couple of hundred yrs old and was colonised by the english so we are big on pies yummy savory ones so delish xxx

Butte Montana is an old time copper mining town and they are famous for their pasties, which miners would carry in their lunch, they are very similar to pot pies but more in sandwich form.
I love Pasties… I grew up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan where they are absolutely loved!!!
Spent my teen years in Butte, missing a proper Butte pasty!
We have pasties in the UK too.. They're very popular.. Back in the day they were invented and made by miner's wives to carry their lunch in, they were made with a thick outer crust which the miners would hold to eat them as there was often nowhere for them to wash their hands so they'd hold the thick crust and dispose of it once the main part of the meal was eaten (theyre called Cornish pasties) they were also filled with 2 parts which consisted of half savoury and the other half pudding (desert)

FYI in the UK a Shepherds pie is lamb mince ( the clues in the name ;-) ) Th beef mince equivalent is called Cottage Pie.

The way you eat mustard is so hilarious, (usually english mustard is applied sparingly 😅) in fact any sauce! I remember when you did the massive sushi challenge and you 'drank' bowls of soy sauce, you were struggling towards the end and everyone said it was the sushi everyone forgot about the massive amounts of soy sauce that you consumed. Another time you drank whole bottles of hot sauce, crazy.

Beef hotpot in a pie, different, usually served in a pie dish with no pastry, but sliced potatoes on top, Shepherds and Cottage pie, again no pastry, but topped with mashed potato. I love pigs kidney pies, don't bother with the steak! They all did look very nice and filling though!

For those who don’t know - Shepherd’s Pie is made with lamb meat (hence the Shepherd), Cottage Pie is made with beef. And hotpot is another name for a stew
